Power Supply On Side Of Eurorack Case?

...and how to do so...

Having made a couple of solid wood cabinets for friends recently, one has asked for a hole on the side for a power supply (Behringer CP1a, its much cheaper than isual power supplies apparently)

Is there any reason it cannot be fixed into a slot there? (I can easily cut the hole out and router a flange to seat it flush)

None whatsoever, other than being mindful of it taking up some (albeit minimal) interior room that will affect the 'depth' behind any module placed directly over it. So place it as far to the rear of the case, as possible. (as you've illustrated) :tu: I use several CP1a's and 4MS PSU's in this manner, or just attached to two smallish 'L-brackets' screwed to the inside of the side panel, on an open backed case.

Thanks.

The cases are roughly 6"/145mm deep that I made so far, I think the modules were less than half that depth internally, so should be enough room.
