I am looking forward to the following music software to be released in 2025:

Loomer to release Architect with presets and manual.
SpectraLayers 12 to be more synth like. Perhaps more like Iris 3.
Melodyne 6 to be more for composition and sound design.
FL Studio 25 with ARA. Unlikely ARA will ever be included in FLS. But I cross my fingers.
Mulab 10
Unify 2
Pigments 6
Scaler 3

Looking forward to Ai software and what it will be able to do.

Looking forward to 90% off sales.

Nothing. I have so much stuff available that I can't imagine anything that I need, or even want. I'm basically set for the coming decade or more.

Well, I am in love with Melodyne and Spectralayers even at full retail prices.

The only thing that motivates me is if I actually need it. And I honestly don't need anything beyond what I already have, and believe me when I say I'm not a minimalist

I don't need any software this year either. If someone comes up with a AI plugin that can make my voice sounds killer instead of a handicaped magpie, I will buy it.

I don't need anything else, although I will always take advantage of updates and cool new plugins, like the new Soundtoys reverb.

What I really want is for Apple to fix ARA for Logic.

This. I'm sure I will be tempted by something, but I would like to just... not.

I am still waiting for MIDI Bass 3. I suppose I could try the beta since it's no longer Mac-only, but the version is what the developer calls SHAMELESS: "developer looking for help testing. Don’t use this"

With all the great tools I have all I want is upgrades when they come, but please somehow stagger them, I'm already behind. I look forward to:

MPC 3.5- standalone and VSTi with time signatures back like promised.

Digital Performer 12- it will be 3.5 years in ten days. most random upgrade cycle of any DAW besides maybe Logic.

Scaler 3- if, it allows you to select the key you know you're in while it guesses the scale, why this wasn't standard I don't know?

It's all upgrades, at the moment I'm behind the curve so I'm in no hurry for the paid upgrades. When I get to upgrading to Speakerphone 3, IK Total Studio Max, and MIDIQuest 13, I'll be broke.

I tried it and yeah, it is useless.

MIDI Guitar 3 is pretty awful too in terms of both interface and function. So let's just say I'm no longer expecting or looking forward to a release this year.

Any news on the release of SpectraLayers 12?
In my black book I have "SpectraLayers 12?" to be released on June 4.
I just hope it has more sound design and composition features.

Any news on the release of Melodyne 6?
It is way over due.
I suppose they are working to integrate Ai into it and thus the delay.
