i used Xt in combination with Orion a lot, but as i experience funny "exceptions" and crashes,
i nowadays only use it for doodling.

This is very sad, as these two programs seemed to be a
very good addition to each other.

But as the Energy Xt is emerging very fast, i think there's hope.

I agree that eXT's interface isn't as simple or elegant as it could be, but it's all the power locked in there that's still appealing.

If only I could get off my ass and learn to use more of it... still using it for beatslicing and modular routing right now.

The thing I don't really like is the lack of a proper mixer. Apart form that it seems to have some cool tools although the workflow is all over the place. I almost bought it ages ago. If I had it probably would have been a much easier learning curve. As it is, its going to take a lot of effort to get into it.

So, its has a crap mixer, the workflow is crap, and a steep learning curve.

Well for one thing, you can't use WaspXT which means settling for second-best basslines.

Another plus point for, its def looking like you made the right decision

You can always use WASP VSTi...there was a WASPXT beta as well(yet only from witin FL - but that means the proper VST version will come sooner or later).

Wasp and WaspXT are chalk and cheese. Rich was saying the other day that the Fruity WaspXT is different from his but he is not sure how. Judging by comments from JMC et al, I would say that it is probably gol's development rather than Rich's total rewrite.

Well I do all my drums in ORION's DrumRack and the only sampler I use is ORION's so using it stand-alone will require a lot compromises. In fact, the more I think about it the less likely I am to ever use the standalone.
