The Waves updates tend to be underwhelming. If you are on Windows, there's really no reason to pay for WUP unless you care about access to support. It's more of a Mac tax because old versions will stop working when Apple updates to a new OS.simit wrote: Sun Jan 05, 2025 4:57 pm I got Silk Vocal for free last yaer and never used 'till now that my upgrade plan has exspired. Is there any relevant difference between v14 and v15 of this plugin?
That's not to say the updates don't contain any changes, but I can't remember ever seeing a change log and thinking "OMG, that's worth paying for".

Thanks a lot for your answer, I'm on Windows yes. I looked for the changelog on Waves site but I dind't find it... it's not very user friendly to navigate... but that plugin isn't bad at all!sjm wrote: Sun Jan 05, 2025 5:02 pmThe Waves updates tend to be underwhelming. Well it's called Release Notes for a start, but it is bit tricky to find. EastWest is also bad at this, also iZotope's notes can be tricky to find.simit wrote: Sun Jan 05, 2025 5:06 pmThanks a lot for your answer, I'm on Windows yes. There's almost always bug fixes and performance improvements of some kind with Waves plugins. It just may not always a be plug-in you use.
