Number of working computers you have

I have 3 personally.. and probably parts for at least another 2.. although they'd be slow computers

and the side question.. nope.. not really.. I only use the main one (I'm typing this on)

we have this one which is my main workhorse
then one in the bedroom i use to store old files on and listen to online radio in bed
and a laptop for laptoppin

excess.. too bad there isnt a big desire for well used 300 mhz and slower machines.. I'd get rid of a few if there were..

I had a few non-working ones. Gave some parts to my bro. Put another full computer out at the curb, with a sign "Free Working COmputer!!" My downstairs neighbor took it for her daughter. Made us both very happy.

Anyway, for kicks:

p4 3.4GHz, 2gig RAM, 2x200gig HD, geforce 6800 GT
p3 500MHz, 256mb RAM, 20 gig HD, TNT2
laptop: 500mhz, 256RAM, 8 gig HD

But will be down to 4 soon as one we are giving to someone else in the family.

I think ideally the home lineup would be (given sufficient funds)

Desktop (Windows) - Music
Laptop (Windows) - Live (If I ever start gigging again)
Laptop (Windows) - Work
Laptop (Powerbook/Mac) - Wife's laptop
Desktop(Linux server) - For wife's development purposes, my tinkering purposes


and yes ... all would be used. Right now the Music laptop is the one that I don't have. Have all the others

Me main compy, a laptop, a lappy 486, another 486, a P75, 3x Atari ST(e), a C64, various junk that if put together would make some working computer.
(and also: a NES, 2x GB, a GBC)

To use a narrow definition of "use" (I switch on various stuff every now and then), I use 2 of 'em (Duron 1300, PIII-700 lappy), the 486 is a gateway/firewall thingy.

I have two PCs on my desk, one of which (the P4) is off almost all the time, the other one (Athlon) is my main machine; then I have the laptop mainly used for live gigs, another PC is in the living room (used by sisters and niphots..) and a server online 24h... another disassembled pc lays in my friend's rehearsal room as a piece of furniture

I run two at the moment. My main host computer runs Cubase SX3, while my second/server daw runs ProTools LE 6. I also have the server computer running FX Teleport.
