I would like to inform you about our latest release our new modulation effect inspired by and developed in collaboration with the legendary recording engineer, producer, and musician Alan Parsons. PSP Wobbler faithfully recreates the sound of Alan’s secret weapon, the Frequency Translator—a handmade experimental device built by Keith Adkins, which created the unique modulation effect heard on “Time” from Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon.

Yeah this one looks cool, I'll probably pick it up once my credit card clears up a little. How long is the intro price for?

I like it, will pick it up as well... :tu:

I bought Wobbler. It's a very unique effect and sounds good on a lot of different sources. So because of that it's good value to me. And it sounds good, very pleasing effect especially on keyboard-y sounds.

With all due respect, there are similar solutions, at least the RC-20, given that it is also a versatile plugin for distorting and coloring your signal.

I honestly don't even own or use a single XLN plugin, and I've got some free lic's from Focusrite and whatnot. Never been a fan of theirs for some reason (tho im sure it's fine). I am a big fan of PSP however, and like this plugin quite a lot, and with their generous discounts, for me it's a no brainer... :tu:

A sock is also a solution for distorting and colouring sound but it's nothing like Wobbler. So your point is moot.

I did bring up RC20 and a number of other potential competitors and Wobbler was definitely unique. I also compared against Sonic Charge Echobode and Tonsturm FRQ Shift and again Wobbler is unique. Further, Wobbler is more musical and versatile than all those I tried in that it blends in better with the source sound. However Wobbler is not versatile in terms of the specific effect - there are some parameters but they are few. It's versatility is with respect to its pleasing sound on a wide range of sources, at least in my opinion.

sounds great...

sounds kinda like a phaser but not.
I've tried to A/B a bunch of phasers and modulation FX with it. I like it, but it might take a lot more demo time to convince me... so far the JRRshop 'group' discount is the cheapest i've seen. I own 12 PSP plugins (used to own them all) and i think i get a $5 discount or something.

I like that i can get a good subtle-ish swirl on dubby pads or keys, for which i would normally use a phaser, but this one seems to come with much less resonance. a similar stereo effect though.

Ouch, you got me with the piano (the slow one) example ! Never heard anything like this before ! I got the same weird feeling as if I was hearing some barberpole rising stuff : something is rising but you can’t really tell what, and that’s admirably disturbing. Purchased, and can’t wait to use it !

Oh yeah, well where's your sock emulation plugin, and I don't mean convolution based, I mean algorithmic sox emulation. WHERE IS IT?
