i bought Skein yesterday and i love it, i love FM and this is everything i hoped it would be
if i'm parting with £76 yes, i would've been happier if they had a demo
but i've got all the glitchmachines plugins, some full price and some cheaper from plugin boutique
their plugins have always worked great on my succession of computers over the last 12ish years

This is where taking the time to make a decent manual comes into play. When support would get an email asking about such things, they can quickly respond with a canned email and the PDF of the manual attachedere2learn wrote: Tue Jan 21, 2025 3:48 pm They're people buying synths that e-mail support asking how to make sounds/explain filter resonance/how to modulate things/where my presets go, things that bare bones basic stuff & its not a one and done e-mail, they want to get into 3-7 email exchange, then you have all the genuine stuff on top of all that dross
The email can simply say
"Thanks for reaching out to XYZ Plugin Company. Those questions are clearly answered in the manual. I have attached a copy for your convenience"
If the question isn't answered in the manual they can just update the manual and send that. Then it will be ready to go for the next one
You can also set up an auto response using the support form that automatically sends the manual with every inquiry
It can simply say "Thanks for using our support request form. This is an automated response. We have found many support questions related to things clearly spelled out in our manual. Attached is a copy of that manual. If your email program did not automatically download the manual you can find it at this link (insert link here)
In the event the issue is not covered in the manual a member of our support team will get back to you as soon as possible "

That stuffs all a part of doing business, you should not be in business if you're not prepared to deal with customers. Anyway, I suspect glitchmachines is not a typical case, seeing how one guy is an actual developer and the other guy is not.
Anyway, who knows how things are divided up, still it can't be easy with one guy being a programmer and the other guy not being one. Even if one is considered the sound or content designer.

I think support has nothing to do with the PB removal. I think having your plugins at 90% off most of the year is just not it.

Dang, I too have now discovered Glitchmachines is no longer on Plugin Boutique. Glad I can still download the stuff that I already bought but looks like the prices are relatively spicy right now for a poor old hobbyist like me. Though I always thought their stuff was way too cheap for the sonic quality it can deliver. Guess I was right, lol.

I'm just now noticing that they also discontinued Fracture XT, Convex, Cryogen, and some of their sample packs. They even removed videos of those plugins from their Youtube channel.

The developer closed his business, maybe Ivo is on his own now.
I did check for him over at MW, to see what’s up, didn’t see any recent activity or announcements. He’s a big modular guy.

Really hoping I still got all of the recent Installers. These guys will be missed!
