How do I Ozriculate? (Ozrics style ratcheting)

Is a track by Silas Neptune who's dad is the Ozric Tentacles. At 1:48 you can hear a ratcheting style effect on a melody/arp that's being played. The Ozrics do this a lot. and, being the son of Ed Wynne, he's learned from the best.
What is this and how do I do it? It sounds like he has a sequence programmed that's being periodically sped up as the melody is played. Can I do waht he's doing with something like Diva?

It just sounds like it's sequenced fast (without any special plugins) while the hi hats switch to fast triplets (very briefly) to my ears.
I think the hihats might even be 32nd or 64th notes, maybe not even triplets for other parts of the tune. Theres some volume changes (decrescendo, crescendo) to hi hats during those fills to make them zoom in and out.

Pretty nice tune though.

It’s not ratcheting per se; they’re just changing the arp’s note resolution. It sounds like two separate arps to me as well - one playing a steady eighth-note pattern and another one playing an up/down pattern that alternates between 16th and 32nd note divisions.

Yup. Rhythmizer is great for that.

Cableguys ShaperBox 3 has tons of that glitch/re-arrange presets. Just put it into insert and you are good to go!
