Hi All.
I've been struggling with a track for ages. I keep coming back to it every now & then to have a tweak, but it's missing something, or there's too much something. I was wondering if I could borrow your ears to offer another perspective. Any comments very much welcomed!
Thanks!

Had a listen. Very nice chord progression and use of the sounds. Lots of things you could do with it
-chord inversions/substitutions, key changes, swapping melodies and chords between the instruments in terms of composition etc. Depends on how you want to proceed with it and what you want it to be; keep it fairly ethereal, or go for the big build up then full on bombast?!

As Mr Tugger says, there is plenty to work from here. The thing is what is your Scene & Story? Scene you seem to have but I fairly quickly start to think that you have no sense of what this is doing, where it might want to go.
Mixwise I think the string parts are overwhelming which would make it harder to work in as they take over.
It seems to need a new idea, probably strapped to a new instrument. What if there were a Gary Moore geetar, or an Acker Bilk Clarinet...?
I like helping to finish tracks where there are good ideas but it has stalled but the other person needs to be open or it grinds to a halt pretty fast. Several of those have turned into released albums.

Thanks very much for the replies.
Yes, I think I'll pare it all the way back again and try to think about the goal of the track. Hopefully I can post an updated version sometime soon.
Thanks again
