(i don't like others from Lexicon.... just that One...)

-> here's the setup :

MAc OS Sequoia... (M4 PRO MAc Mini)

-> the pb is i believe the MPX is not anymore supported on ARM/Silicon Macs...

(i installed (intel) old one, but Bitwig saids he has pbs to enable it....)

on PC i use iLok 2 USB dongle.....

->

but i really like it !!!! i need it lol !!! It's WARM lol on pads....

i got some others (better) reverbs but each has his/her effect.

thats why i need help/guidelines to retrieve the MPX.... Lexicon is legend lol...

(im new to mac osx, i dont care if VST is compatible....)

i miss tweaking it easily.

Thx for help.

I recently got an MacBook Air 15" M3 and I've tried to go without iLok. The Lexicon PCM plugins are some of the only ones I really miss from my Intel MBP. The Lexicon site says it will run under Rosetta and "they're working on a Silicon native version" whatever that means. Harman is not a dumb audio company (especially compared to many others), but I don't know how many resources they put to the Lexicon brand these days.

Have you checked out the iZotope versions of the Exponential Audio (EA) reverbs - Stratus & Symphony? Michael Carnes developed both that era of Lexicon algos, and the EA stuff, remarkable sounding! While iZotope's Neoverb is based on the same algorithms, the implementation misses a lot of what made the originals so useful (including several multi-mode filters and a stereo width control).

thanx, it's reassuring. PCM LPX MPX are so great especially for colors on girls oooh-aaah's, but MPX has a simple interface that does all you want in 5s, why i Love it.

i also got some hards Lexi's IR...

Recently i bought Denise audio Perfect room 2, it's special too...

i don't buy plugins anymore in general, only reverbs sometimes or stuffs...

Lexicon appears to be abandonware at this point. I second the recommendation to check out the Exponential Audio plugins from Izotope. They are updated and will run natively on Apple Silicon. They are in the same family as the Lexicons as mentioned. You can often find them second-hand for around $40.

AFAIK there's still hope for the Lexicon software being updated. :wink:

Yeah, they've been posting something every few months dragging us along. It is encouraging to see a screenshot, though. Obviously if they cared about the product line, they wouldn't take five years to update it for a large section (probably the majority) of their market. For that reason, it's probably best for Mac users to move on to other options at this point. A lot has changed since 2009; Liquidsonics, Relab, and Valhalla are leading the market now IMO.

Both Valhalla and Liquidsonics had their product lines updated for Apple Silicon in 2021.
