All the chords been selected for progression would be the focus point. Coloring would be dynamic and project-specific like the chords that are chosen for different progressions.BluGenes wrote: Fri Jan 31, 2025 1:41 am Which is the point.. which chord would be focused? In a progression perspective..

I added this to my to-do list.foster911 wrote: Thu Jan 30, 2025 11:27 pm Is it possible to add color support to chord notes in the track's piano roll? Currently there are only two options:
1- Hide chord tones
2- Show chord tones
When I select Show chord tones from Track Display Options menu, a gray-like color is displayed on the track's piano roll showing the chord tones. This gray color is boring and unintuitive.
Chord tones' places on the piano roll are always gray unless you select a tone. this makes confusion for selecting the degrees.
If you please add different color support for each chord tone on the piano roll, it would be so helpful.
The colors are deliberately grayish, so that you don't confuse them with real notes.
You can set colors here if you need more saturation or brightness:

Thanks,
Attila

Yea, I see the confusion now. I thought you were talking about the piano, but, you mean for the workspace..foster911 wrote: Fri Jan 31, 2025 1:50 amAll the chords been selected for progression would be the focus point. In the tonnetz window, there's always one note selected. You can't have tennetz in a clean fashion without a single note.
Is it possible to provide a way that tonnetz could be shown without one note?

Those are chords, not notes. It is used to see the relationship with the selected chord in the progression..foster911 wrote: Sun Feb 02, 2025 12:25 am In the tonnetz window, there's always one note selected. You can't have tennetz in a clean fashion without a single note.

Why not turn Midi Mutator and Melody Editor into a real-time Arpeggiator by simply adding a button to connect a midi keyboard and select a channel for midi input and output.
It may not be that simple, but it is probably in high demand.

Track colors' range is limited. For example assume you have 8 tracks and want to colorize each of them. The only way to do this is right-clicking on the tracks and viewing the color pane and selecting a color from this pane. This pane doesn't show enough colors to set for each track and at the end tracks' colors get almost similar to each other after colorizing.
A more modern color palette is needed to give the tracks differentiable colors.
Thanks!

It would be nice if a traditional color picker was used.. But, in any case, you do have access to 360 colors from the hue slider..foster911 wrote: Thu Feb 06, 2025 10:06 pm Track colors' range is limited. I wanted to copy this over here since I am running the latest beta.
1. If I add cc event's specifically for cc event 1 and 11 for modulation and expression. there's no way to limit those CC to the phrase? Reason being when I add CC to the track, if I turn expression down, lowered until I raise it again. leading to needing long runs of expression.
Screenshot for example: https://ibb.co/gZhzCvW8

2. When adding chord progressions, can we do a chord progression that's not 4/4 such as
Am[->2 bars] A Am[->6 bars]
Is it possible to input chord progressions like that?
3. Now there's notes dropping. Is there a better alternative to loopMIDI?
--
Any feedback on 1-3?
A lot of issues seem to stem from trying to use RC as a VST. I've switched to using loopMIDI with standalone, it works better but there are still a few issues.BluGenes wrote: Thu Feb 06, 2025 4:02 pmYes, it does help.. So far, not able to reproduce this issue though. Not saying it isn't a bug, just needs more attention.musiccisum wrote: Thu Feb 06, 2025 3:17 pm I shared the version, screenshots of the issue and the response is that it works for you?
Yea, if you don't mind, anything related to the beta, bugs, etc., just use the beta thread. It just makes it easier to keep track of.
But, in any case, when you change those properties, it should immediately update your screen, is this not happening?

To add those CC to the phrase, double click the phrase which sends the phrase to the phrase editor. There you can add the CC to the phrase. It is also there that you edit those CC's.
For the loopMidi issue, that is outside the scope of RC (not an RC problem), so, can't offer any help there. The only other app I am aware of is LoopBe which is a paid app.

In practice you only have limited colors. Much of 360 colors become very similar to each other when the number of tracks goes high and you get stuck in color selection.BluGenes wrote: Fri Feb 07, 2025 5:03 pmIt would be nice if a traditional color picker was used..
