On Serum when you press a key you can drag the left corner of the UI and drop the preset sound as a sample in your daw, from there you can drop it in Zyklop, easy and fun way to feed Zyklop with cool samples![]()

There is a built in audio recorder that can easily be configured to start and stop using MIDI note on and off messages
I have it set usually for Middle C. Find a patch you like, press middle C it starts recording lift up your finger it stops recording and a wav file is in your destination folder
Super easy to then drag and drop into Myth/Zyklop, or any other resynthesis tool like HALion
The cool thing is you can also host Zyklop in the same instance. So if you are doing sound design you can have any plugin you want, record it and drag and drop it into Zyklop all in the same window
Dawesome ZYKLOP!

I can drop directly into Myth/Zyklop. I tried Serum and Chop Suey which both have this sample export feature, dragging directly from them onto Myth. Didn't check where the actual file ended up, but how cool is this workflow though? Mess with that then drag output of Myth/Zyklop back onto an iris. Insane
Edit: off topic but this also works dragging directly from Serum/ChopSuey/Myth into Novum. Or back into Chop Suey.
Also you can drag the Myth/Zyklop output back into Serum to create a wavetable, or into Phaseplant or Filter Table or a convolution reverb or Pharlight etc etc. Pretty cool stuff

Heh same here. Frankly first version not so impressed, although i was still keep installed trial, to explore from time to time. But when opened v2 resynth algo in Zyklop, figured that did miss some important update in v1.5 Myth. So, grabbed immediately.stoopicus wrote: Sat Nov 23, 2024 4:10 am Zyklop is so good it alone sold me on buying Myth. So... Mission Accomplished, PetVor![]()
Congrats to Peter, that cool addition.
The only thing, it eat cpu at breakfast lol (despite eco mode), particularly in arp patches. (Even rather exactly this was the reason for my initial pessimism regards project). But ok.

I can't get the GUI to be anything other than too small. This is a shame because as a result it's functionally useless to me. I'm using Reaper. My laptop screen isn't huge, but this seems to be a GUI problem because whatever size option I select it just remains teeny tiny.

I have both and highly recommend everyone get both if you have any interest at allbravedog wrote: Sat Feb 08, 2025 8:48 pm Fun! I have some other cool dawesomes but not Myth, somehow, and wonder how anyone w both compares them? I know double osc in Myth but I mean funwise? thx
For the most part you could consider Zyklop to be half of Myth, but in the real world it's not that simple. What I find is that when you know both and use both they will take you to different places and you will end up with different sounds

Thanks for sending those !
I had missed out on the RESONATOR module, omg it is SO powerful !!
Zyklop is incredibly fun to use indeed, just had an hour of fun making gorgeous pads and keys
Note : it can get CPU intensive.. but worth it !! Thanks everyone and Peter Dawesome

Anyone else has aliased, jagged text? It looks like font smoothing is disabled even with OpenGL enabled in Zyklop.
On their website in the screenshots, it looks like font smoothing is working/enabled. I was wondering if it's something on my end?
Comparison: left is from the website, right is my screenshot with the same dimensions. Look at jagged fonts. This is on Windows 11.

OK, I looked at some videos posted by users in this thread and indeed, they also have aliased text in the GUI. On the other hand, in some official videos the text looks smooth and polished. So why is that? MacOS vs Windows or a bug?
It would be great if this could be fixed, it looks bad on any GUI size.

If this occurs with Ableton, try 'Auto-Scale Plug-in Window' like so:

No such option in Bitwig. Anyway, my desktop is 1440p @ 100% scaling. Was the GUI designed to look good only with high DPI screens with scaling?
