It's been a long time since I was in here...
Too much GAS.. too much temptation ..
I've only bought maybe 5 modules over the last 3 years or so.
And stopped looking in modular grid.. that's not healthy for me.. know what I mean.. (nah, mr wabbit wont)
However.. sometimes a module is born that is just talking to you..
nah.. some even shout.. "I'm yours.. I'm yours for the taking"
And so Priscilla from TINRS announced a new module and video...
I'm not a big reverb fan, only having a QuadraVerb (with the reverb mix very low)..
but I rather fancy the way they have deconstructed reverb and produced Bopp&Steve
This I find totally inspiring and can't wait to have one in my sweaty hands.
very nice indeed!!

funny thing is, I'm not a big fan of reverb.. none in my rack, just the Quadraverb and lite reverb in Patchmix (E-MU 1820m interface mixer) [EDIT.. but obviously like echos]
However deconstructing the reverb the way Stijn (TINRS) has done here definately caught my imagination...
I've already pre-ordered from Signal Sounds.. maybe 7 Feb or thereabouts... hopes.

Yeah the routing, mixing, muting, attenuating, etc, has been a fairly constant challenge for me. Not a bad thing, just a bit overwhelming at times given the potential on hand.Constructed Identity wrote: Sat Feb 01, 2025 2:27 amWell, now I'll have to get another rack just so I can have this:WatchTheGuitar wrote: Fri Jan 31, 2025 11:16 am I was exactly the same. I'm considering an ELZ_1 Play this year because it's like those old Casio and Yamaha keyboards on steroids. Not to mention, it has velocity-sensitive pads that are apparently a step up from the original keys.

Toying around with either a Neutron or Proton. Can't make my mind up - I really like the squelchy aggro character of Neutron, but like the newer features of Proton, especially stuff like wavefolding and it seems to have more flexibility. But from what I hear of them, Proton has lost that filter character that Neutron has in spades. Not entirely sure I want another desktop/rack unit anyway, but I'm sure I could squeeze one in somewhere...

Filled another hole today:

Also ordered a Knobula Cinematic Echo because I came to realize Sarajewo can't be my primary delay.

I think I will need to get a VCA to get the most out of Plume. I found After Later audio DVCA on modular grid, but I really don't know about options. What do the more experienced people on here do for VCAs?
Also, I think I should get a utility mixer, either XPAN or perhaps Three Tom modular's mixing flask. I know XPAN pairs well with Sarajewo, but other than that I don't know much.
