Introducing Disseptor: A Multiband Dispersion + Distortion Plug-In

I am happy to announce the release of Disseptor, a new multiband dispersion and distortion plug-in with some unique features!
Here’s the concept of the plug-in:
Before applying distortion, you can adjust five EQ points that introduce phase shifts or delays to specific frequencies. While small phase shifts are subtle on their own, they influence the character of the distortion, allowing you to shape the sound more precisely by modifying the phase of different frequency ranges.
In addition, the plugin allows for longer delay settings that introduce an audible delay, which can smear out transients and add punch, particularly to percussive sounds.
Key Features:
- 5 EQ Points for delaying / phase shifting specific frequencies in an intuïtive user interface.
- Asymmetrical Soft Clipper: For generating even harmonics, resulting in a warmer sound.
- DC Blocker: Removes DC offset caused by the asymmetry, ensuring a cleaner output.
- 16x Linear Phase Oversampling: Reduce aliasing effects for higher audio quality.
- 7-Day Free Trial: Fully functional, so you can try the plugin before purchasing.
For more information, including demos, tutorials, and user reviews, visit www.rvaudiodesign.com
Intro Price: €29.99 (regular price: €39.99). The 25% discount is available until March 1st.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on Disseptor!

Are the nonlinearities within the allpass filters themselves or are they on the input/output?
The UI is great, a tasteful mix of fluff & clarity. Reminds me slightly of Ubuntu Unity's theme (which I miss dearly)
There's shockingly few dedicated allpass filter plugins despite their power & versatility. Phasers seldom let you turn off the modulation or allow such precision in placement/sharpness of them.

The allpass filters are linear and do not introduce any distortion. That makes this different from a regular "phase distortion" plug-in. But the allpass filters do change the shape of the waveform and with distortion applied afterwards, change the sound of the distortion. Can give some really cool sounds!DNAudio wrote: Fri Jan 31, 2025 9:57 pm Are the nonlinearities within the allpass filters themselves or are they on the input/output?

The UI is nice indeed, and well done for creating something unique. I love filters
And plugins with built-in modulation / LFOs / envelope followers gain extra points.

That's a pretty cool idea. I'm going to play around with this to see what sounds I can get.RVAudio wrote: Sat Feb 01, 2025 10:01 am But the allpass filters do change the shape of the waveform and with distortion applied afterwards, change the sound of the distortion. Just a quick update for anyone interested, the plugin is now also available for Linux!
I got a few requests about this shortly after release, so I'm happy to say it's finally supported.
Let me know if you run into anything or have feedback on the Linux version!

It might be a good idea to do another short intro price then! (I'll grab a copy if you doRVAudio wrote: Tue Apr 15, 2025 6:13 pm Just a quick update for anyone interested, the plugin is now also available for Linux!

Well, i think the price already is pretty cheap. But to introduce the Linux compatibility, i can do a 10% discount. Use code KVR10.Choikdoi wrote: Thu Apr 17, 2025 8:20 pm It might be a good idea to do another short intro price then! (I'll grab a copy if you do)

Apologies for being cheeky, I wasn't implying that I didn't think it was worth the full price. Anyway, thanks, just bought itRVAudio wrote: Tue Apr 22, 2025 7:10 am Well, i think the price already is pretty cheap. But to introduce the Linux compatibility, i can do a 10% discount.
