It feels like it should be incorporated into something with broader capability. It is fun to play with, but I don't use it often.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

I will probably never use it but Im glad I checked out that offer anyways. I was in need of a 'mastering limiter' and PB happened to have the Sonnox on sale for $29 (and Inflator too). Scored the tool I actually needed and got Backbone to add to my Cubase collection heh.

Backbone is quite powerful, not only for drums. You should reserve an afternoon and give it an extended spin.mothra wrote: Sat Feb 01, 2025 3:54 pm I will probably never use it but Im glad I checked out that offer anyways. I expect to use it a lot to construct drum/effect kits with Impact or Groove Agent or maybe drum racks in Ableton (depending on where I am).
At first I didn’t find a use for it but it would fill a gap in my music/noise I think

Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

My guess V2 imminent, Giving V1 away is a great way to sell a lot of updates...

1.8GB (or whatever) holy hell. Thought it was going to be much smaller. At least steinberg's massive files download fast; unlike others like IK Multimedia's files, for example, which usually tale hours for me to download.
I thought it was just an A.I. drum plugin. Pleasantly surprised to find some nice sounds in there.

Did the same thing. Have wanted Oxford Inflator for a while so picked it up with backbone for free. Have hardly touched the Inflator but Backbone is super interesting.mothra wrote: Sat Feb 01, 2025 3:54 pm I will probably never use it but Im glad I checked out that offer anyways. Inflator is so old, but the ”Is is shit?” guys said it is still good. I don’t need/want a mastering limiter or whatever it is (they were not entirely sureswilow11 wrote: Fri Feb 28, 2025 9:53 pmDid the same thing.
