Bought a 50" Pioneer 4k TV for $200. Works great on the DAW. I changed the scaling to 150% and pretty satisfied. Only the UAD older plugs give me grief, but most vsts support some UI size change these days.

Dunno about brands & models. The Sony tv I bought 20 years ago had a VGA input. To my knowledge nothing else than PCs feature VGA connectors.
But what you want for PC usage is a neutral colour. And I don't understand why you would not want that as well for tv and movies. Also look out for the feature where the TV slightly zooms into the picture and cuts off a bit of all borders. That "feature" needs to be switched off as well. With that all set, I don't know what else you need for it to be "PC Mode".
My experience is these are the sort of things you only really learn about after you've bought it.
