Thank you for the kind words.perpetual3 wrote: Sun Oct 01, 2023 12:58 pm Skins like these make me feel good using plugins. I wish other developers of plugins I use all the time (Plogue, for example) would hire your or make their plugins skin able. Makes a huge difference.

Nice QoL update, that i missed
Dec 12, 2024
ABL3x 3.3.4.4 Update
- Midi drag&drop of pattern to DAW is now available, dragging the "Acid" sticker will export the pattern to a midi file and insert it into the DAW's project (for DAWs that support this)
- Add keyboard programming mode
W,E, Y,U,I. = note pitches c#,d#, f#,g#,a#
A,S,D,F,G,H,J,K = note pitches c,d,e,f,g,a,b,c'
Z,X,C,V,B = down,up,slide,accent,gate
<ESC>= clear
<RETURN>= next step
<BACKSPACE>= prev step
<CURSOR LEFT> = decrease pattern length
<CURSOR RIGHT>= increase pattern lenth
<TAB>= auto advance/pitch mode
<SPACE>= play/stop sequencer

v3.3.4.3
Load Tuning File is deprecated. Use the MTS-EPS system instead for microtunings.
Is MTS-EPS Mini suppose to work with the internal sequencer? I can only get it to work with ABL if I use it in MIDI Mode: Note ...
Sure one can do a work around but..
. .
If this does not work with the internal sequencer then it's a real shame and a big step backwards.... (possibly sad face insert here)
I hope I'm missing something here, if so I just don't know what...
(Running v3.3.4.4 tested both VST2/VST3 - Reaper 6.83 - Win11 23H2 - MTS-ESP Mini 1.11)

Hey, developer of ABL3 here. That's correct, MTS-ESP does not affect the internal sequencer tunings. I suppose we could add that, but the work around for now is to drag&drop your pattern to a midi track and then play it in Note mode.
Or you can load two instances of ABL3 and send midi from on to the other that uses an alternative tuning..
Edit: yeah I saw the meme now that it loaded that you already figured that out

The way I work makes it preferable and would very much appreciate it if it would be implemented, drag n drop midi files back on forth is no go for me personally. I would have no issue loading another instance if I could turn off everything else but midi in order to save cpu.

i don't recall exactly right now but I believe ABL3 does skip the audio processing if the volume knob is set to zero, that could save you some CPU cycles. It should still output MIDI. Something to try at least..

best plugin 303 for my taste !
i´ve created a patch that makes it -for me- even sound better than any analog one i´ve ever heard.
You could give me a REAL 303 on loan for longer, i´d even NOT be anything interested in it. I can make the ABL3 sound that good .....=> -vs. my own taste-.
But:
your pattern management really really sucks !
it makes it kind of unusable for me ( read: not exactly worth it to put more time into it)
To notes:
i don´t use any DAW.
To do what i make, do you have to leave the DAW and move over to the realtime-play focused plugin-Hosts. The ones i (have to) use don´t have any sequenzing environment on-board.
=> Thus, your internal pattern management is what i have to rely on.
I see, it´s a hard competition.
you as a developer can´t be assertain that anybody out there would see the ABL3 the winner too. thus jumping on,...let´s say a payable upgrade. Thus, if you invest your time for a rework, that risk is on your side. I see that.
But there are many of us proposing the ABL3 to be the best SW-303.
A update on the whole pattern management would be very very much appreciated !

your post is quite offensive, and that to a man, not to a product. (while mine was not)
in fact, it comes over here like a pile of hate offloaded directly towards me, my soul.
you could have at least made your point clearer, so i would understand what exactly has set you up.

(EDIT: running the OSC in ABL2 mode drops the CPU a decent amount...)

He's basically just asking for a better pattern sequencer. I think it's a completelynfair thing to ask for.
The 303 programmer is notoriously clunky. Sure a classic mode is good and needed. But an added, modern and more flexible sequencer could really supercharge ABL3.
Which is as the guy also said an excellent sounding plug in.

Ok, i see where it was coming from.
Please take my apologies. That wording was not very thoughtful and could have been way more reasonable.
nevertheless, i´m nolonger willing to take up such hate attacks here.
It was like a bomb of hatred that exploded directly into my face.
To get "This" for "That" ? .......it´s insane.
Yes, i LOVE the ABL3 for it´s sound !
soundwise, it´s in my opinion the best 303 SW thing. ( i have phrased that out clearly )

I do not agree with the tone and style of communication of that dude, and certainly wouldn’t want you to stop writing messages. I’m very intrigued by your approach. But, taking the aggression out of his words, I do think that your writing could benefit from some refinement in order to be clearer and more easily understood. No hate here my friend. No one is perfect and we can all improve. Don’t let some anonymous words affect your soul.Funky40 wrote: Wed Feb 05, 2025 6:07 pmohh, well.....Ivan_C wrote: Wed Feb 05, 2025 3:18 pm
