Well, I'm going to give it a go, but I'm a bit worried, judging by the size of the power supply, that it may be too small and fiddly for my big fat fingers.

The idea is to build a 'conventional' type synth using some System 100 modules, and see how it goes from there.

If it doesn't work out, I can easily sell it as a ready made unit.

Something a lot of people overlook with modular is using controllers instead of always relying on knobs that are often pretty crowded and tangled in patch cables. Faders, joysticks, expression pedals, or simply bigger knobs... of course that does mean buying more stuff, but for me it's worth it.

Then again some people set up a modular patch to play itself, or mostly use sequencers, so they're less concerned with real-time control once the patch is set up. That's not my style

Thinking about mixers and I don’t know why I just don’t get an ES-10 like I was going to.
The Supamix will always have the outputs from Sarajewo so it can sit right next to it and since I only have 14hp left I can’t get a full-sized mixer anyway so just out mono or stereo things to DAW and I am done.
It is always more complicated than first appearance with euro rack, I will have to plug more modules into the multi power chain because the left power board will have more than one amp.

The 16n Faderbank is pretty good bang for back. I think I paid about £200 for mine and you get 16 decent sized faders and mine can output both CV and MIDI values (The AtoV version). Best of all it is 0HP!

Yeah, it's great. I have the Tesseract Sweet Sixteen, which is Eurorack format but it has inputs as well as outputs... so it'll convert CV to MIDI CC, and you can use it for extra attenuators. I use it all the time to control mix levels in Bitwig, among other things.

Finally ordered something that’s been on my wishlist for years, a Minilogue XD desktop that i can pair with the keyboard equipped version to make it work effectively as an 8 voice poly. Bought it second hand and it also comes with a bunch of colourful replacement knobs that will be handy on the keyboard version where the lines are to faint to see what the settings are.

Bit unimaginative of Behringer, tbh, the Doepfer Wasp filter can be picked up really cheaply already. Im hopefully getting a second one this week, funnily enough.

Whimsical Raps Silhouette arrived yesterday, I messed with a bit and realized I will have to explore a lot more to really understand it.

It's like a 6-input circular crossfader, autopanner, lo-fi delay/reverb, and dynamics processor that encourages feedback patching and just sort of going nuts. I love it
