If different waves are possible for VCOs, The JT Mini is probably closer to the SH-2 than Pro Mars.
I'm not sure it has patch memory.

I do like what I hear in the later Wave video.

They all have to be the same waveform. You're right, no patch memory, only memory for the sequencer. Frustrating!

I see Thomann had a few available last week and Andertons are currently showing stock. Tempting.

I went ahead and put in a pre-order this week. Probably won't get it until June. But hey, I've wanted a PPG since I was a teenager. I waited 40 years...I can wait another 4 months.

I got one but returned it due to a software bug in one of the menus. The oscillators and filters sound really good. I was able to coax some lovely keyboard and pad sounds, but the envelopes seemed a little lacklustre for anything punchy. The unit felt solidly built with all metal enclosure and the keybed was much better than I was expecting. Not being familiar with the PPG interface, preset editing was a major headache — every digital parameter change needed the manual. I found it odd that the group setting (which part/s of a preset is played) is not saved with each preset.
