Yeah!
In six sines, the modulation matrix has a source called 'keytrack from note 60' which you can assign to anything you want on a per operator or per matrix node or per mixer node basis. It's super fun!

That is more than some other FM-synths can do, but quite far from having individual breakpoints and separate ramp selections for the upper and lower keyboard part, for each operator.baconpaul wrote: Thu Feb 06, 2025 10:48 pm In six sines, the modulation matrix has a source called 'keytrack from note 60' which you can assign to anything you want on a per operator or per matrix node or per mixer node basis. I don't want to critique your synth, by the way, I was just adding some info to the DX-7 import discussion.

Oh yeah it’s definitely not enough
Part of the motivation in writing six sines was to prototype some of the ideas for the next surge where we have full functional mod remappers in the spec for exactly this reason and so you can skip the semi hokey frozen mseg hack you use in surge today. But that didn’t happen in the six sines sprint

Hi, I found a wonderful expressive sound working win Six Sines for the OSC #192, I always love FM, so I'm biased. What I would like to see in your nice synth it's a "solo" switch for each operator or a signal monitor (for each one), since sometimes I got lost trying to figure out the modulation "weight" of the many sources in the FM algorithm I was building via the matrix.
Thanks.

The nightly and soon enough the 1.1 release has a solo per mixer item already. Before that the power button would bypass a stage but with the mixer soloing is also super useful. Thanks for the idea!

Is UI resizing on the to do list? It’s not a bad size for me but just curious.

Click the preset name on top to open the main menu. You will find % size options in the "User Interface" submenu. If you're using a recent build that is, otherwise I recommend updating.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Wed Apr 30, 2025 6:11 pm Is UI resizing on the to do list? If you mean continuous resizing, I don't know about that. Possibly at some point, but there's a lot else going on right now both privately and in Surge/Shortcircuit territory.
