since 2018 they announced it.. I think it still allows it though (both in sequoia and apple silicon), but apple has surely been strongly depreciating it for their Metal API's instead.

Step into the pulsating heart of electronic African music with the new "African House 1" for VPS Avenger. This collection brings you the freshest and most authentic sounds of this uprising genre, blending deep, hypnotic grooves with organic percussion, driving basslines, and soulful melodies. Inspired by the vibrant electronic music scenes of South Africa and beyond combined with western style House & Melodic Techno, "African House 1" delivers a powerful arsenal of pulsating drums, warm synth textures, ethnic vocals, uplifting chords, and tribal rhythms - all designed to bring your productions to life. Manuel Schleis & Andy Hinz teamed up for this big expansion pack and recorded many real ethnic instruments like flutes or drums as well as many new vocals from authentic African singers. Whether you're crafting Afro House, Deep House, Melodic Techno or Amapiano-infused beats, this expansion provides the essential tools to elevate your sound to another level!

found this pretty boring from the demos, it sounds like normal house and some very small African (sounding?) vocals.msvs wrote: Fri Jan 31, 2025 3:04 pm

this way you can use the same for other continents. i didnt hear much unique elements, i expected more African elements and instruments mixed in.
glad cause then i can save for another XP
Edit:
forgot, Bartek's Video is better but also here i searched the African elements with a magnifying glass.

I agree that the link with Africa is not that obvious, I expected more african instruments. I even saw a preset named "Caribou"... which is a typical wt# animal from cold north countries... It seems this one took a trip to Africa for holidays.
But anyway to my hears it sounds great, and I even heard a few gems. I’ll get it for sure !

its still focused on electronic music. There is a slight influence atm on the techno/house stuff. Especially in the drums/rythm, vocals and certain key elements. Its not meant to be an "Ethno" hollywood style xp

Thought I'd try using the software just now that I've spent hundreds of pounds on. I might as well get some use out of all that money that's been spent, right? 3 tracks in logic, one of which uses avenger, the other two simple drum hits. One key held down for 8 bars in avenger that has two layers in the preset. Get this several times within 60 seconds.
Still completely unusable then.

Using the latest Avenger (VST2) in the latest Ableton. When I try to record midi from Avenger's ARPs I'm not getting velocity information (it also doesn't look like mod wheel information is being passed through). I searched and see others asking about this but no answer. Is this not supported? Tried VST2 and VST3 version of Avenger. Thanks for any ideas.

And if there will be the possibility to save the presets in both normal classic mode like today (.avgr) and it would be nice another type of saving type to be able to then import them, in a preset when you have to do with more OSC etc to make the famous Sequencer section. That is, create lead bass etc and then be able to import them as presets already made to then make the faster sequencer presets, compared to creating everything at the moment that you are not always inspired.
Thanks
Thanks

Hi Manuel, nice to hear from you, how nice a new version of avenger is coming out. I can't wait to try it. Will there be some new expansions coming out? Will techno 3 come out? Or something for hardstyle? And a curiosity, will the second expansion of Euro dance 90 ever come out?msvs wrote: Fri Mar 14, 2025 12:02 pm this is next on our to do list.
