How can I save selected scales with chords?

That you can't.

And to be honest, it shouldn't. Phrases with phases, progressions with progressions, and scales with scales.. ya know. When you start mixing stuff like that, it just causes more problems than the benefits.

BluGenes gave the right answer. A 'chord box' (or section, I don't know a better name) is the smallest structural unit which can have its own chord and scale and signature. If you want to change the scale only, but leave the same chord, that means you need to split that box/section or create a new one with the same chord.

Having different boxes/sections for chords and scales would make everything very complicated.

Maybe this would help.. If the scale is C and you wanted to change to D you would have to do this..

In the key of C major, the I chord is C major. When you change the scale to D major, you need to determine the corresponding chord in the new key.

In the key of D major, the scale degrees are: D (I), E (ii), F# (iii), G (IV), A (V), B (vi), and C# (vii°).

The C major chord in the key of C major is the I chord. To find the equivalent chord in the key of D major, you need to find the note C in the D major scale. In the D major scale, C is not a natural note; instead, C# is the seventh scale degree. Therefore, the C major chord does not directly translate to a diatonic chord in the key of D major. However, if you consider the C major chord as a borrowed chord or a chromatic chord, it could be used as a bVII chord in the key of D major.

Yo, Atilla, I figured out the problem with the VST, so, never mind..

Hello Attila, I was clicking on the Tonnetz buttons and got Crash.

Hey, about Tonnetz.. I _think_ the way it is used is, up and down from selected is 5th's, left and right are major 3rd's and diagonal are minor 3rds.. Is that correct? or is is up and down 3rds.. I always forget..

Post

I would like to learn how to use this, but I don’t know how yet))

Yea, know what ya mean, but, I think that is all there is to it. I'll look it up again. I'll post in the resources for RC thread..

Yea, found a decent explanation, but it doesn't mention up and down.. Left and right are the 5ths and diagonal are minor thirds. I have to assume up and down are major 3rds.

The link is in the resources thread..

Hey Atilla, long time ago there was a bug that involved muting selected phrases. (If multiple phrases were selected, you could not mute-unmute all of them remember that?)

This is kind of the same, but, probably going to be a little more involved. I noticed you can not mute multiple selected phrases with the same variation. This only works on the first phrase..

But, be careful, apparently is very expensive to use.. It seems it is the most expensive model at the moment..

Thank you, lulukom :tu: , I managed to fix this rare crash. However I could not fix the previous one with the Tonnetz which I am still investigating for what could happen.

Thanks!
