I love to see more open source audio software and this seems really promising.

Ok, the idea seems pretty good and shows promise. Very Bitwig in form.
Pretty hard to read the screen, even with the high contrast pressed.
Will it be able to run VST from a browser??

I read on the YT vid that browsers cannot access plugins like VST so that seems a no for now at least.

All I get (on an admittedly slow connection in Shanghai) is three tiny white squares chasing each other in the middle of a black screen. Hugely exciting …

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

To me, it seems to work as intended (although with the bugs expected from early prototype software).Spitfire31 wrote: Sun Feb 09, 2025 8:59 am All I get (on an admittedly slow connection in Shanghai) is three tiny white squares chasing each other in the middle of a black screen. Hugely exciting …

Without VST support it is a complete waste of time. More like a game to pass the time than a serious tool for music production. But I suppose we all have to start somewhere.

Despite the bugs it's a fun diversion and I like using pre-loaded samples and arranging. The synth is ok, nothing fantastic there, but well executed. Has a basic reverb and delay and EQ, but that is it.

What could possibly be the advantage of a browser based DAW? I can’t imagine any… Disadvantages are a ton of them…

An advantage is that you could have students set up on any computer with only a link. No installation needed.
Linux version?

Not surprising that a browser-based DAW would be a thing one of these days. The browser version seems to lack a lot of features for now - including a manual (why would it be lacking that?!) - but I'm cautiously intrigued as to where this goes from here.
