I have one computer. Why? Because the cool thing about computers is that they can do lots of different things really, really well. e.g. This one is the fastest 3D render machine I have ever seen. It handles roughly 3 times the VST load of my old one. It drags PAL video frames of the HDD at almost real-time into combustion. It came with a backpack so it is very portable - I took it to Melbourne for our last gig as carry-on luggage.
When I buy a new PC [this one is only a few months old] I give my old one to someone else [my best friend got my last one, my nephew the one before that]. Most of the extra computers listed here are a complete waste of electricity. Don't they have garbage collection where you guys live?

I own one laptop myself, but I have one sister, and (of course) my parents. Every family member has his own computer, except for my sister, which is using the one that's unused.
Only problem is, I'm the only one who has a clue how to do basic things like email, adding favourites in internet explorer, etc. so I have to help others constantly (they won't learn).
It's a full-time job

4 functional - 3 in various stages of disrepair
• main personal (music, internet, graphics, etc)
• wife's
• son's
• secondary studio (soft synth host)
I only paid for 2 of these computers. the rest were hand-me-downs that had to be pieced together. Frankensteins, if you will.

This reminds me of one of the best stickers I have seen. Someone I know had it on his laptop. It was along the lines of
