Tension for Synestia

Tension for Synestia, the multi-effect processor by Rhizomatic contains 101 presets (including 1 variation), exploring the sonic possibilities of physically modeled resonators and it also offers intricate rhythmical delay and filter effects, stereo manglers, distortion galore, modulation mayhem, gate and pitch sequences - also in odd time signatures - filter sweeps, alien and experimental soundscapes and vast reverb spaces.

All presets make extensive use of the available modulators and have up to eight Macros assigned for direct interaction and DAW automation. The patches are programmed 100% wet for the purpose of inserting Synestia on a bus, that way several audio sources can be processed by the same instance of the plug-in; using a pre-fader send is recommended so that the output and send levels can be set and automated independently.

You can view/download the PDF for this expansion with installation instructions, technical notes, the licence agreement and a detailed patchlist including demo links here.

Specs:
  • 101 patches (including 1 variation) programmed 100% wet.
    Up to 8 Macros assigned.
    Delivery: download.
    Price: € 32 EUR.

All demos make use of effect sounds created only with patches from Tension, no further post-processing was applied apart from a limiter on the master outputs.

Each one of these previews showcases how dramatically Synestia can change your audio into truly unique soundscapes and rhythmic textures. It’s just a brilliant VST all around!

Percussion instruments and loops are a lot of fun to use with the resonator, and the filtered delays add a strong sense of movement across the stereo field.

Some of the multi-effects that I have are great for turning audio into an unrecognizable type of mush. And while that can be sonically interesting, Synestia really seems to excel at creating more ‘musical’ results.

In fact, I’m giving Plasmonic some serious consideration as a future purchase due to the quality of this plug-in. I can imagine how cool the two would sound together, and I’m getting more interested in MPE-enabled synths.

Your Tension for Synestia pack is coming along nicely. Thank you for sharing more preset demos Simon. :tu:

That sounds really cool! The tense, rhythmic feel that comes in at around 25 seconds, has some fascinating textures. That's the kind of unique sound that captures my attention. Zebra is such a great synth for evolving drones, and it pairs up very nicely with Synestia's effects. It's another fantastic demo Simon! :tu:
