Not that I needed another granulator/glitch machine but this is interesting indeed...
Testing my first Graindad patch with some beats.

This VST is definitely suited for creative types, so it’s right up your alley. Sugar Bytes has a talent at thinking outside of the box and I respect them for that. The result of their creative vision has been some wild effects and instruments.Sampleconstruct wrote: Tue Dec 24, 2024 2:27 am Not that I needed another granulator/glitch machine but this is interesting indeed...

Graindad is a very cool mangler and I’ve been using it for vocal manipulation and intricate rhythms recently. Also, I must say that it’s a very inspiring and gorgeous effect that I like to use at the end of the day when I’m winding down.
Whenever time allows for it, I’ll play my Waldorf Quantum through it among other effects just to relax and release any tension from the day. I really enjoy those moments of peace and tranquillity. Cheers Simon!

For chopped up beats and tight stuttering mayhem there are better tools than Graindad like Fragments, Stutter Edit, Infiltrator and whatnot but the Harvester is where it really shines, can't wait to use this thing in a live setup mangling acoustic instruments, drums, voices - that will be wild and quite different from all the other manglers I use.morphex wrote: Tue Dec 24, 2024 7:01 pmThis VST is definitely suited for creative types, so it’s right up your alley. Absolutely, and yes, The Harvester is where a lot of the magic comes in. I find it to be rather addictive to experiment with. I only wish that I had more time to use it.
It’s a blast using it with vocals, including ones that have been run through a vocoder before Graindad. All kinds of exciting possibilities to explore.
I’m sure that you have some more interesting patches in mind for 2025. And I’m totally here for it. So Merry Christmas Simon. Let’s all hope that 2025 will be a year for peace.

Are you high? Buckle up. We’re about to go to war with Denmark over Greenland.morphex wrote: Tue Dec 24, 2024 7:47 pm Absolutely, and yes, The Harvester is where a lot of the magic comes in. I find it to be rather addictive to experiment with. I only wish that I had more time to use it.

Although I may act like it sometimes, nope... I'm not high. And the key word in my last sentence is "hope." I've been advocating for peace and against war for my entire adult life. I'm convinced that each country has people with the wisdom and dedication to diplomacy that's needed, to negotiate a way back from the brink of madness and annihilation.zerocrossing wrote: Tue Dec 24, 2024 8:45 pmAre you high? I sincerely hope that those voices are heard and embraced by every citizen, and especially the people in power. Because I scored a couple of cool plug-ins during the holidays. And how am I supposed to be able to play with those VST's if we're all crispy critters? You know what I mean? So no nukes, and no EMP's (I don't have a big enough Faraday Bag for all of my gear)!! Cheers

IN my note I had Buy Graindad at $35 or less.
I believe $37 is close enough.
Had passed up $43 at Thomman.

Hopefully a silly question with a simple answer, but:
I can only get graindad to play the wet signal after I press play in my DAW (Bitwig , but also in Reason 13) but when time is stopped I just hear the dry signal, no matter what preset I select. I don't think that's supposed to work that way? The presets are correctly installed, serial number is valid. Changing the recorder trigger doesn't help so I'm probably missing something.

You probably just need to set the host stop mode to forever in the settings...MH80 wrote: Sun Feb 16, 2025 7:39 pm Hopefully a silly question with a simple answer, but:
