Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a new plugin I’ve been working on called VoxGuru (https://thraudio.com/step/thr-voxguru/).

Image

It’s a vocal processing suite designed to streamline your workflow and help you achieve professional-sounding vocals across various genres.

Built-in Harmonizer
One feature I think you’ll find particularly useful is the harmonizer within the FX module.
It allows you to create up to two harmonies in any key, with various interval options, making it simple to craft rich vocal layers without multiple takes.

You can also spread the harmonies across the stereo field, making them wider or pushing them all the way to the center.

Simple and Advanced Tabs
I decided to have two UIs for every tab: Simple & Advanced.

In the Simple UI you have access to a minimalistic set of controls that adjust various settings at once to give you good results fast.

However, if you need to dive a little deeper, simply click the advanced button and you get granular control over every parameter.

Different Modules
  • Dynamics: Gives you access to a deEsser and four different compressor styles, each adding various levels of harmonics to change the color of the signal.
  • EQ: Gives you access to a one-knob eq in the simple UI, or a full parametric EQ in the advanced UI.
  • Saturation: The saturation module comes with four distortion types: Tape, Soft Clipping, Tube, and Fuzz.
  • Time: 7 Reverb algorithms and control over the decay, room size, diffusion, and damping. Delay algorithm with control over feedback, rate, and a ping-pong effect that can be spread across the stereo field.
Both reverb and delay also offer ducking.
  • FX: This is the most fun module, in my opinion, since it features effects like Doubler, Chorus, Phaser, etc., as well as the Harmonizer.

Here are two videos you can check out:
One which you can also find on the product page that goes over the product, the different modules, etc, and the other one (which is in Spanish) that showcases extremely well how the harmonizer works.

A little bit about me and THR
THR is a one-man company.
I create the plugins myself and every new one is vastly better than the previous one since I'm learning a lot along the way.

I also do all of the support myself since I think that it's one the most important parts of the business.

If you find something that may need fixing, or you simply want to ask some questions about the plugin, send me an email through the support form at thraudio.com/support and I will get it sorted for you ASAP.

I hope you enjoy it!

Have a great day all.

Looks like a great effort, and well thought-out!

This really does look and sound great. I do a lot of vocal work and even though I usually build my own effects chains, these all-in-one solutions can sometimes be useful. Hard to pass up with that intro price.

This sort of looks like a nuro audio Xvox clone. Right down to the same modules. Some slight differences I can see in that with this you can reorder the modules and you have a bit more control over certain modules. Still awfully similar though in layout.

It's definitely similar to Xvox Pro (not the standard version), but VoxGuru's harmonizer sets it apart and puts in more in line with Nektar. It actually feels more like UAD Topline Vocals Suite to me in terms of features/workflow. Not to mention that VoxGuru is a fraction of the price of Xvox Pro and UAD.

FWIW I bought this last night and spent a while testing it out on vocals I just recorded for a new song and it's pretty impressive. I also love that the individual modules are available as separate plugins so I can easily work them into my own vocal FX chains. Easily worth the $49 intro price. My only regret is that I passed on some of the discounts I was offered on some of their other plugins (their MB comp and gate) during checkout. This was my first THR purchase and really don't need the other plugins, but now I'm checking them out I sorta wish I would've bought them when I had the chance. :dog: Oh well...

I'm in the same boat. VoxGuru looks really useful, so I'm kinda tempted to pick up the All Bundle at the discounted price. Will have to try the demos. :ud:

How long will the current discount offer last?

How one plugin developer alone can create such a tool is a great illustration of the wonderful and challenging times we're in.
On the one hand we are more spoiled than ever with more and more free or affordable plugins.
On the other side it also means we are getting flooded with daily launches and offers, often with uninspiring ~ yet another compressor, yet another boring reverb type.
Here this is slightly different, first a one guy able to code something so nice, perhaps a testament to the power of JUCE.
Second it does not stop at copying what XVOX did, but added an interesting harmony module. Side note to the OP, I would not put the harmony module last, I would think the reverb and other modules would mess with the pitch detection, perhaps wiser to put it first in line.

It is a tempting purchase, for its nice layout.
For those who hope to achieve similar results for free, Waves StudioRack allows you to build savable custom chains where you can load your vst3 FX in parallel or even multiband !
If you want easy fast results then buying Voxguru seems a very nice solution.

That’s a good point, but you can freely change the order of the modules by simply dragging them, or you can even just use the harmony/FX module separately and put it anywhere in your DAW’s effects chain.

Can't help but notice the similarity to Excite Audio Lifeline, at least in terms of the GUI.
