Probably it's the cause why i failed to output only noise. I did not see any eq either except some high cut or shelf. Indeed it often happens that you get stunning results by using inappropriate approaches. There is element of fortune which opens the gate to another dimension.
The noise print IS the eq!

What i really miss in all synths which i tested is creation of harmonic ambient noise which kind of fills the space. You definitely can't create it by reverbs. As for synths they tend to produce either rouph saw like sound or noisy irritating noise but not harmonical pleasing noise which you hear in many songs. I have always wondered how they get it. What you describe seems a hint to the right direction.

Ok, and how do you use capture noise button? Usually you select an area and then press such a button but sfnr has no selection tool.

Dude I ain't used that thing in 20 years or something, but I'm sure it just captures the audio that gets played into it.
If I remember right, I was originally doing it in SoundForge, but I also remember using NR as a plugin in Sonar, which was a little buggy if I remember right, but it allowed me to morph in realtime, rather than just saving as a sample in SoundForge.

I honestly can't tell you much more

I'm currently using the Delta mode in Soothe for this sort of thing. There might be better methods though.

Has there been any recent news on the status of SpecOps version 2? Last I heard was that unfiltered audio were working on it, I think that was about a year ago.

SpecOps 2 is the only future plugin release I have any sort of anticipation for. Love the original but after using it a fair bit there is a ton of untapped potential in it's usability that I hope will be addressed in the next version.

Specops code is open sourced on github and no one develops it and many people claim that original spectrumworx by delaydots was much more potent than future endevours to that matter.

Ircam asap and spectralsuite are vst3 only unfortunately. I use only vst2...

SpectumWorx is open sourced, but not Specops?
And, yeah, it was/is. Some of us still have it running, it's just not stable for everyone. i have it on one older W7 machine and it's sorta stable. i resample the output.

I have problems with spectrumworx v1 , namely mouse cursor disappears and other gui problems like badly rotating knobs. Not usable on linux via winehq. Btw v1 was developed with participation of famous prosoniq developer.
Indeed,it's not specops that is opensourced. It was a mistake of mine.
