Anyone find the contact details for the insolvency administrators?

Select "Nordrhein-Westfalen" under "Bundesland", enter 01.01.2025 as the start date and then search for "Digital River GmbH" under "Frima/Nachname" and you'll find it.

At this point you won't find anything beyond the quoted content. In Germany, it's common practice to be contacted by the insolvency administrator if you're a creditor.

Best,
Ray
Thanks! Hopefully DR had their records in order.
Pretty sure they left zero money in the accounts anyway, those bastards. If anyone is contacted maybe they can post more info here. Also if any kind of group legal action is initiated, please share thanks

There is already a Google group, see this: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1lCu ... it?tab=t.0

In the past, there is a method to join the group, I tried but do not get response. I also send private message to the poster but also no response.

Currently the info has changed and it contains the lawyer of the case: https://dockets.justia.com/docket/circu ... a8/16-2015

Hope that helps

Huh? That's a court case from 2016 which for some reason also involves Symantec. Nothing to do with what's currently happening.

I think this means they find a lawyer with past experience to deal with Digital River. The 2016 law case also involve Symantec.

Everything makes sense now. At the beginning of December, they sent out payment notifications to most of us, which means you’ve already received yours. As a result, no claims can be made. All their actions were carefully calculated in preparation for potential court cases. It’s all very fishy and super boring.

No answer from the public prosecutor, no answer from Digital River (we sent registered letters), no answer from the Amtsgericht. So in Germany a company simply can say goodbye, switch off its website and switch off all communitcation, take millions of stolen money with them, and NOBODY gives a sh*t about it. Never again will we contract to a German company. There seems to be no constitutional state in this country, no protection of law and no protection from fraud.

Institutions have processes that work smoothest when initiated by someone who knows what they're doing. Writing to the Staatsanwaltschaft or Amtsgericht directly as a foreign layperson, expecting they resolve your issue immediately, or even know what you're talking about, is the equivalent of writing an email like "This software crashed" (but in Portuguese) to the software manufacturer's landlord's mother-in-law. It'll take much longer until it reaches someone who even knows what that means, and that person then has to go through motions in order to get back to you and pull all the relevant information out of your nose. Clearly, such correspondence will be put at the bottom of the pile, below the easier to process correspondence from competent and patient professionals that the administrator trusts (lawyers), and who do the job of calming down their furious clients in the meantime.

It's only a few weeks since the insolvency, and administrators are probably still figuring out when someone has time to start working on it. Expect the procedure to take years. It's not like someone has been eagerly waiting for your letters to arrive so there's finally something to do.

The money is most likely gone. Best case is you get a small fraction of it in a couple of years. I guess Digital River GmbH has no assets that could be sold and they have likely extracted all money.
Best you can do is accept the loss, go on with your life and take it as a nice surprise should you get some money back in a few years.

Based on this fiasco, let's be vigilant and help each others... heads up for those using commercetools: "Technology vendor commercetools confirms layoffs, restructurings". See: https://www.digitalcommerce360.com/2025 ... ucturings/
