To bring it around to a serious topic, not all aliasing is the same. It's one thing to have your Virus or whatever, adding some aliasing to a part. It's a totally different story to have a plugin on your mix bus that's supposed to be adding some saturation that's adding aliasing to your entire track, which can just make it sound dissonant and harsh. Aliasing on a limited part of the spectrum is much more tolerable than a broad band program getting aliased.

For me, when a synth aliases, it can bother me or I love it. The sound of a vintage hybrid can be awesome and I use that type of sound all the time, but if I'm going to a synth that's supposed to be an emulation of analog, that's another story. I want to hear zero aliasing. Basically, as long as I can control it, I'm OK.

Yeah sound resonating is just the worst. We really need all pluginz to totally de-resonate all input (both before and after antialiasing and phase cancellation). That is the result we all deserve right now.

I am stunned by this fantasy that plugins will de-resonate. More stunned that people pay huge sums to buy these things then get all bestest eva and down on anyone so silly they don't own all the latest stupidware.

ALL SOUND IS RESONANCE. If you don't like part of how your sound, um, er, sounds you EQ it. De-resonating is like putting your hand on the guitar strings, phew now there is no resonance. Silence is golden. I tried one of the early ones that was da best. I fed it sounds with strong resonant peaks. It did nothing useful at all. I could achieve way way way better with an EQ.
