I also removed audio tracks from the composite track, they should not be displayed there.
Thanks for this feature request! A new beta version will be uploaded in 2-3 days.

I'm very grateful. Switching between Phrase Editing, Note Editing, Composite Track and Multi Track modes is probably the most common operation I do in RC. I'll never forget Shift+C. Thank you very much.

Yea, wanted to point out that it is important to know what the work focus stuff is when working with shortcuts. There are four areas that have their own focus, and each of the areas can have shortcuts that will only work when that area has focus. However, since there are so many possible shortcuts to have, it is possible that more than one area could have the same short cut, but, would operate differently when the area has focus and used.

Some shortcuts can work "globally", so, they operate no matter the focus.

There are also some short cuts that shouldn't be changed, like some of the "Fill" shortcuts. (The ones in settings with an * by them.

So, when looking at short cuts in the settings area, they are grouped by focus..

You can tell what has focus when you click in one of the four areas, the master track, the timeline, the workspace and the track headers will have a very thin box drawn around the area. (it needs to be a little thicker in my opinion)

The only thing visually misleading is the titles for the master track and timeline are actually on the track headers area. To click those areas, just click either the actual timeline or one of the chords for the master track.

This is explained in a video I am working on.. not sure when this will be completed, though.

I have noticed this behavior, and you're right. It's important to be aware of it.

You don't have to uninstall the previous version if you install the beta.
In theory the two versions can co-exist. But please note: the beta installer installs the same files, as it is the same installer, so it will overwrite the stable application and plug-ins.

If you are on macOS, and use only the standalone application, please rename RapidComposerV5.app before installing the beta version, so that the stable version won't get overwritten.
If you are on Windows, you can select a different target folder for the beta version.

If you use the plug-ins, it is not really possible to keep the beta and stable plug-ins separate.

My computer is running Windows 11 24h2. As I understand it, during the installation process, I need to choose a different location for the standalone beta and archive the VST3 plugin from the current stable version. That way, if there's a problem, I can restore the previous version of the plugin. I'll give it a try.
