I've found a bug in MacOS Sequoia 15.3 & 15.3.1, and I am trying to figure out this is a bug specific to Sequoia, or if it popped up in Sonoma, and nobody caught it until now. Apple is aware of the problem, and I've found it on multiple Macs running Sequoia. I know it was working fine in Ventura, but I jumped from 13.x to 15.3.1 last week and found this bug immediately.
The bug is in Apple's Music app, where any AIFF files don't respond to Sound Check being turned on or off. Is there any chance you would have a very loud AIFF file on your machine (anything louder than -16 LUFS) that you could add to your Music library, and see what happens when turning Sound Check on/off in its settings? MP3 and WAV files are unaffected, so it's specific to AIFF.
If it is working, it will jump up in volume when turning Sound Check off (you might have to click the OK button in Music's settings dialog panel before it gets applied). The song might need to be restarted to test if the volume falls back down after turning Sound Check on.

Nothing at all happened here, OS14.7.4. Sound Check was on when the track started (I have one use only for this app, Classic Visualizer), turned it off and on, nada.
