I've started having stability issues withi FL Studio since version 24. :dog:
Sometimes the whole thing freezes/crashes when I just try to open a blank project.
I've never had this problem before on any FL Studio edition before this, dating back to FL Studio 9 or so.

Is this a known phenomenon / regression lately?

Granted, it might just be my own system, but I'm trying to find out what it is.

UPDATE:

Well the problems went away when I installed to internal drive instead of external USB3.
So... SOLVED.

Did you try different Audio driver, like Asio4all or no Asio at all?

Doesn’t happen to me usually a cracked copy will cause this and cracked plugins too a bad windows install can cause it as well hardware incompatibility’s are you using an SSD or an hdd

It's not cracked, it's buggered. Mine doesn't crash, it just won't open. (But for some reason if I try to load Guitar Rig 7 it just closes itself. GR5 - no problem. Any other NI stuff - all good) I think the whole issue is the Browser. Mine does this after I reboot and I think it's trying to connect to a Server and the Windows says no. What I do is keep opening it and usually the third time they all open. Then, I just close the others.

Hmm, thanks for the replies...

i think the difference might be that I installed the Cloud stuff for the first time this sime and my system is running off of a USB 3 hard disk this time.
I might try to reinstall to my computer SD drive instead again (without the Cloud items) and see if the problem goes away.

It's not a cracked copy, and I was able to load a demo project.

I'm on Linux, so maybe the Linux effectiveness is fading finally. Just a few versions ago I wasn't having significant problems and was just about to maybe buy a version instead of always running the demo.

I've also had very bad problems with Patcher plugin.

sorry for missing your response.
i wonder what happened with the Patcher?

I have to admit, I’ve been reluctant to update to FL24 (still on FL21, from Feb’24), with the seemingly high number of bugs, crashiness, and problems reported on their forum. The team seem responsive, but it seems a long list to work through.

No external drive. fl studio just auto closes sometimes

That happens to me every time I try to load Guitar Rig 7. FL just closes. No Error Report. No warning about FL experienced an issue, just closes itself. I have many NI synths and effects and GR is the only one that does this. The weird thing is it used to work. I'm sure it's mostly on the NI side, but I've heard they are so backed up on bug fixes. Now, Guitar Rig 5 still works, so I just use that.

damn. this is bad news.
but thanks for the replies.
i'm not sure if i should buy FL 24 or not now.

Patcher doesn't crash it but it takes a really long time to load it. Like really long. Anyone else get this not opening after you reboot your computer? I think it's trying to phone home, but that little fruit symbol just hangs suspended in the middle of my screen. It seems the trick is to open it 3 times, then the third time all 3 copies will open. This only happens after a reboot. Any other time it opens right up.
