Are these in addition to what's in Dystopia Diary? Or are they just for people who haven't bought the Kontakt Instrument?

Yes exactly, just simply update via Native Access, it will show up in the update tab.

The sample packs are in addition yes, they go quite well together as additional sounds since they are all in the same "perfectly looping" vein.

Standalone, but you can drag and drop them to the layers - drop a sample over the wave display and it will load into the layer (see manual too).

We did find a very strange issue, seems like some underlying Kontakt issue, we reported it to NI and they will investigate but pay attention to this change log item, this was actually also the case since launch as we found out:

KNOWN ISSUE Various snapshots do not play some of the layers under certain conditions. Workaround by loading any other instrument in Kontakt before loading Dystopia Diary, and then the issue does not occur

Very odd - so basically make sure to load something in the instance before loading DD, at least until there is a Kontakt side fix.

Dystopia Diary 1.2.0 is live! Simply head over to the Native Access update tab to grab it.

Version 1.2.0 - 2025-12-05
ADDED Monark filter lowpass and bandpass flavors in the main filters section
ADDED 285 New samples across the various categories
ADDED 167 New snapshots
IMPROVED Loaded user samples that do not have embedded loop points now loop the entire sample on load
FIXED Vowel B Filter selection was missing in the NKS2 filter menus
