What effect have you wished existed but is not on the market? It can be anything from something simple in terms of process reduction, to something very innovative that would be ahead of the current time.

Combinator as VST plugin. To create your own plugin with its own GUI from the many plugins you already have, that would be awesome.

I feel like there's still not a great sample manager/previewer plugin available. The ones I've tried are either just not very good, cumbersome, or become very unstable once you start getting a large number of samples cataloged. I like the Atlas/XO/Cosmos approach to mapping out the samples, but I feel like the AI used for these is not always that great for finding similar samples - sometimes it can be great, other times adjacent samples are not even in the same ZIP code soundwise.

I'd also love to see Elektron release their own sequencer plugin that works exactly like the hardware.

A reverb that literally 3d prints whatever space you want your sound to sit in at 1:1 scale.

Cross-talk.

Soon as I get around it to, a guitar rectifier octave in which an inverted filtered thing is mixed in, I'm thinking that was the secret to the loud brash sound of the roger mayer octavia I used to own.

Several DAWS, and plugins emulate cross talk in their console. Studio one has it natively with their "mix engine FX," and I believe you can do it with waves NLS, or the CLA mix hub plugin, but I'm not 100% sure.

I want a re-esser, essentially a plugin that works like drum replacement but will replace the sibilance in a vocal recording with a new "S". You can probably get it to work with drum replacement plugins, but I've never been able to dial it in well enough.

Wasnt specific enough and actually meant Channel Cross-talk, which indeed Studio One offers. The rest normally just emulates Stereo Cross-talk, yet not the individual Channels, not so sure how the new Sonimus are doing this now?

Amp simulators that actually sound like the amps they're trying to model. Its 2025 WTF..

For real though, @Cryophonik hit the nail on the head.. On the Mac, Audio Finder is pretty awesome, but its pretty much dead as a doornail (although it does still work thankfully). I've tried a few others, ADSR sucks, Library Monkey/Sound Grinder are ok but WAY too expensive (and yes they crap out after a large number of samples are added), etc.. If the dev ever gets the time to finish updating it, AudioFinder was just about perfect but its tagging only works with the internal database. You can grab a whole bundle of files, set key/tempo/beats/etc but it all stays in AF. It will let you edit and add 'ACID Data' but you have to do it for each and every single sample separately. Not to mention, the built in editor made it so quick and easy when browsing samples to trim/chop/loop etc all right there.

Haha that's not the point of the topic, but since we are talking about it, it could be useful for some of the developers who are here. Don't be greedy hahaha
