Ableton seems to be so powerful that they don’t care about some of their flaws. Reason also some problem with automated param names and they say its Ableton’s fault. Ableton knows the issue. They do nothing. So much plugins as you saysacer wrote: Fri Mar 07, 2025 12:03 amableton is facing since vst3 this issue. My first plugins have been vengeance avenger and parawave rapid. I opened a ticket 3 years ago, they told me to fix it, but nothing happened.tumface wrote: Thu Mar 06, 2025 9:28 pm The slow preset change when there are a lot of parameters thing is a flaw in Ableton, not the plugin. Plugins have to add workarounds to deal with it in Ableton. I don't blame a plugin maker if they don't do it.
In the meantime, lot of developers fixed it for their plugins like parawave rapid and minimal audio current. Korg is also aware since the release of Opsix and wavestate, but they don't do anything.
Good for me, so i don't have to buy, so much plugins.

Really good plugin, I'm surprised. The sound is "Korg typical not-that-phat", but it definitely has character and the quality is great.

I tried it, sound quality is excellent and presets are great.
But I don't think it adds much more to Virus TI2, or Diva.
It's just nice to know if your old HW Virus dies, you can buy this.
Or if you're beginning, it's great to begin with Multi/Poly native.
Btw, I've manage to run it on Win7 with Audiogridder and Win11 virtual machine.
There are some bugs but it works most of the time.

not-that-phat = not that kind of vintage Moog phatness
Of course, it is possible to stack layers, using the hard sync to create sub oscillators and apply post-filter drive to achieve thick sounds. No doubt, it wasn't real criticism. The only thing I missing, after testing for about 30 minutes, is a pre-filter drive option.

Yes, same thoughts...I have all the other Natives (and had some of the hardware) as they were all a bit unique in some way, I am seeing this as an really excellent sounding (especially the filters) workhorse type VA synth but as I have so many of this type of thing I just cant see a reason to buy it (other than to complete my Korg collection!). Great Job though Korg, lovely synth and if I was starting out I may have gone for this one as my main VA!frag wrote: Fri Mar 07, 2025 11:03 am I tried it, sound quality is excellent and presets are great.

At the moment I just scratch the surface. The sequencer looks great.
But the vsti isn't well optimized. Korg should work a little bit.
I usually runing easly with lot of plugin at 32 buffer and 48khz without any drop out or artefcat.
Here with just 1 layer I have drop out

I don't like to do this but sometimes you got to get it out of your system.
(EDIT: I was trying the Performance presets, the program presets are in fact better)
Judging from the presets. What a Disappointment! Can't even start to describe how many things that are plain and boring.
Sounds like 50 other OLD crappy synths I have (never use) but even worse.
Even most free synth have some character or some creative presets.
I had to open MonoPoly (vst) to compare and immediately I could hear I was right!
You should too!
Presets: 99% simple/boring/fast made/budget feel (Where are the real patchmakers???)
96kHz?: Can't hear that supposed quality in any preset?
Comparing to all there other recent "replicas" this has to be the weakest, doesn't even sound/feel like a replica.
High CPU! For what? I can load Hive 2 for ex and it sounds so much better for much much lower CPU use.
Lack of fatness and high frequency fidelity. The mid/high freq is almost always dull?
Preset browser shows same preset in several categories...
So I even have to hear the same garbage preset several times when I go thru the preset lib...
What did they want to achive?? I really don't understand...
It doesn't offer anything "new" just the opposite.
Show me a preset that is worth saving?
I know that many times the preset may not reflect the real potential so maybe that's the case here too but man are those presets boring and lifeless.
Tell me, in what area does it even shine a little bit??
God, this really ticket my frustrating nerve for low quality products, I think it's because I had high hopes...
Sry folks...

lol I was just going to post how beautiful this sounds, huge pads especially, lots of modulation, very deep structure. Can’t please everyone I guess but I am very happy with this and am going to have a blast getting into it this weekend.

Exactly..
I couldn't disagree with the poster above yours more.
But to each their own.
I do wish it had more presets and I imagine great third party presets will come.
I am of course curious to know which synth and presets impresses them.

My expectation of larger, older hardware companies is that they will make software I'm not interested in at all. And this seems true for all of them except Korg, which keeps making stuff that I actually want to use, like this.mynet wrote: Fri Mar 07, 2025 1:02 pm I'm sry guys, for me, it just fell so much below from what I expect from a big company like Korg.

Wanting good presets out of a synth is a totally normal thing. Not everyone wants to sit around and program stuff from scratch.Gam456 wrote: Fri Mar 07, 2025 1:08 pm 0/10 for you. A synth is not a preset rompler. You can programm. Do you know that? Right ?
