What do you prefer?
I wonder which one will be worth the investment.
I'm doing ambient techno dub stuff with noise elements.
Which one is more suited for my style?

I think it depends how much freedom you want. Zebra 3 is fairly modular which allows for nearly unlimited sound design choices, while Serum 2 is most likely following a fixed signal path flow. The latter being more easy to dial in I'd say.

I even thought about Sylenth 2, but that would be an overkill I guess.
Still wondering if Absynth 6 will fit the bill...

Without any idea what serum 2 will bring, and with zebralette 3 as the only clue what zebra 3 will provide, I would gamble that zebra may offer more novel sounds.martinjuenke wrote: Fri Mar 07, 2025 9:43 am What do you prefer?

Urs gave a Zebra 3 preview at NAAM, so we have more clues than just Zebralette 3.perpetual3 wrote: Fri Mar 07, 2025 4:38 pm Without any idea what serum 2 will bring, and with zebralette 3 as the only clue what zebra 3 will provide, I would gamble that zebra may offer more novel sounds.

future tripping on products that aren't available yet doesn't fill the creative need or create music. use what ya have, wait n until ya know more. new isn't always needed or best
Rob Papen is releasing Raw 2, duno that I need, maybe cool. lots of new versions of stuff coming, its inevitable. do ya need it? don't even know what it is yet cause not cooked.

Another possible contender for the synth crown could be Pigments 8.
