Hi. I am following a tutorial on YouTube that uses FreeAmp as a tape -and- tube saturator. I do not want to sign up to their site to get the serial.
Do you know of an alternative that does not require giving your email
address?
I have never used a tube or tape saturator, much less a plug that does both. So I am trusting you to recommend a good sounding one (or two if you must split them). I will be using it to boost/slightly overdrive a bass vsti.
Thanks for useful answers. =)

For TUBE saturation, google "GSatPlus Saturation plugin"; and then for TAPE Saturation, google "SN03-G Tape Recorder". Both are free, NO signup or email address required, NO serial required, and they work fully OFFLINE. Don't forget to read their manuals or watch tutorials on how best to use them.

Airwindows - try Tube2 and ToTape8
All Airwindows plugins are free as in speech and free as in beer (not to mention extremely good). No account / sign up needed.

Tube saturation typically refers to even order harmonics, while tape saturation typically means odd-order harmonics. GSat+ can do both. There is also a free plug-in by BPB (Bedroomproducersblog) that does both.
