I've never gotten the new "fusion-ui" basd 3.x series to work, here on my Gentoo Linux'es. It compiles and starts fine, no obvious error messages. Many of the UI components seem to work, but no instruments ever get loaded, the piano is unresponsive (no visual response or audio output) (although it does display which notes I'm pressing as text.)
Is this a known (linux) issue? Maybe a problem with one of my dependencies, ruby or something? What'd creating this new UI again?

I'm not sure either, but all I know is that after some recent updates(?) changes to Linux kernel(?) and/or my Manjaro XFCE Linux, all of a sudden my ZynAddSubFX LV2 crashes Reaper. This makes it unusable for me. All my other LV2's still work. I switched to Yoshimi instead, since this still works and has simlar sounds and a similar interface. I think Yoshimi is the successor and/or fork of ZynAddSubFX. However, I still like ZynAddSubFX. If it comes back, I'd be glad.

I was able to migrate my Yoshimi presets into LMMS's ZynAddSubFX, which is still stable, thank goodness. Thanks for keeping them interchangeable.
I've been using ZynAddSubFX (from LMMS) and Yoshimi (linux native) a lot lately. It's working out. Such a solid good sound, especially for pads. Thanks devs, for such a strong set of audio tools (ZynAddSubFX and Yoshimi).
