Every kid with an iPhone, some loops and MIDI files now fancies themselves a "producer".
I don't see anything wrong with that though. Isn't this similar to the punk rock fanzine entry:

Benga started making music on his playstation for example.

It's looks like there is a mobile version of FL Studio that's £14, which could be something to upgrade to

Hmm.
Are you really and truly aware of what’s been going on and is available and can be done on iOS/ipados the last few years?
How much stronger the DAWs and synths have become?

I’ll also say, I’ve seen/heard some original stuff from “kids” using GarageBand (especially with Alchemy), to do some simple but fun, original synth wave stuff. Not using loops nor pre-made MIDI files at all.
I’d not lambast them for such.
Some on iPad, some on iPhones.

I’ll be very brutally honest, hearing their content sounds far better to me than hearing the likes of you loudly rolling your eyes.

There are greater DAWs and synths available still.
I’m guessing you’re simply not aware of how far forward the platform has gone.

Me too! My old, fat, 50 year old hands!
I can play my Precision bass.
I’m as bad on a keyboard as I was in high school 35 years ago. (my own fault). 😂

But….on my iPad..no problem.
On my iPhone..no problem.
On my Midi controller (with iPhone or iPad) no problem.
Even were I stuck with just and only an iPhone and no controller (not likely at all), the way the apps are designed, it makes it difficult to screw up via the touch interface unless you’re truly clueless and silly stupid. Most help you. They at least change to adapt to parts of design or performance.

Maybe look into something in some slight lil bit of a degree before insulting and dismissing out of hand.
🤷‍♂️
