for the people working on movies and games its a pretty cool update. for the library sfx designer not really a big update at all and I would argue stay on cubase 14 pro. did they even get the modulators? not a single mention of it.

Once NEK was dropped many moons ago, Nuendo always has all the features of Cubase, plus its own additional features not in Cubase. (I think NEK was dropped by Nuendo

How did the second demonstrator manage to have such nice colours?

I have Nuendo 13 and find the amount of tweakability of the colours quite limited - I never managed to really unfuglize it. The second demostrator's Nuendo looks almost pretty though.zvenx wrote: Thu Mar 13, 2025 7:40 pm Of Nuendo? You can customize the look of Cubendo in terms of colours for quite awhile now.
I myself have mine a light green.
Edit, just to make sure: I am mainly talking about the track colours.

I of course have way too many... but you can customize and add as many as you want.

How did you manage to add them?
(Sorry everyone, this is completely OT - I thought they might have improved the colour-tweakability in N14)

It's been like this for ages with minor tweaks...

Gosh! Thank you! Cubendo may be the only DAW that's even more convoluted than Reaper. (Which is the reason I barely use it, even though on paper I quite like it.)

There's a million problems with it:zvenx wrote: Fri Mar 14, 2025 12:10 pm I guess cause it it has been that way for decades, I didn't think of that part of it as convoluted.

- it's in the project-menu, even though it's the place to set your default palette
(hence I would never haver looked for it there)
- it's completely seperated from the place you use it
- this seperate menu-entry wouldn't even be required if you could access or call it from this dedicated toolbar-entry
- the latter one is already weird enough as the sole function it provides is not avialable via the track-menu
- even though they managed to pump it up to three-tabs it still doesn't offer the option to actually save and load palettes

It actually isn't a default unless you make it a default, you can change it per project so I guess that is partially why it is in the project menu...but I do agree that it would be nice to be able to save and load them (you sort of can but it is a work around.. create templates with different colour schemes and load those when you want to use a different colour scheme. But yeah unnecessarily cumbersome).

Yes, of course, but my point is that this is the ONLY place to do this. And I would guess a lot more people are interested in changing the colour-palette globally than on a per-project basis.
Edit: anyway, as weird and cumbersome as the implementation may be, I am glad to have found out that I can actually change the track-colours to something much nicer at all, so thanks again!

There are a few better color sets around. You can pick one up customize and select it as default so all your future projects will open with that color set. Also for your old projects you can use ''Reset Color Set to Default''jens wrote: Fri Mar 14, 2025 2:27 pmYes, of course, but my point is that this is the ONLY place to do this. But I agree it is very cumbersome in general and really needs an update. There is not even load/save color sets
For example you can just drop off a picture on Bitwig color palette and it picks up all the colors from it. Great to have interesting color sets.
