I still got some issues with Multipoly V1.0.3 on my Windows 11 PC in Bitwig and Reason 13.
If i select init Performance and load the preset 3Syncpercussion or the 4 Osc Lead in Layer A I get no sound.
3Syncpercussion --> vcf output is set to 0
4 Osc Lead in Layer A ---> volume of each OSC is set to 0
90s trance Bass B --> nothing anormal, both vcf and vca envelope are short, you can increase the vcf env amount.
That must be a bug in the preset system or they saved the wrong preset since i have a hard time believing that it was like this when the preset creator made them so it is fixable from Korgs side :tu:

I am very happy with the sound of the Multipoly and I bought it as soon as it was released to complete my Korg Collection :)
The Programs are all saved from their respective Performances.

"3SyncPercussion" is from the Performance "3Sync Organ." If you go to that Performance (or look in the Mod List), you'll notice that the volume is controlled by Mod Knob 1.

The Program "4 OSC Lead" is from the Performance with the same name. If you select that Performance, you'll see that the four Oscillator levels are controlled by the four Mod Knobs.

In both cases, the modulation routings from the Mod Knobs are maintained; load them into any other Performance, and they'll respond to the Mod Knobs there, too.

"90s Trance Bass B" is from the Performance "90s Trance Plucklines." It's designed to make a short blip, layered with the main sound.

Hope this helps!

It does so thank you for explaining it for me :tu:

is there a way to delete, rename and export preset? can't find any

@danatkorg
Do you plan to implement multithreading in future versions?
Many users are experiencing crackling and ASIO buffer overloads.

You can delete and export from the Librarian with a RM, and rename from the right menu

A degrade in 1.0.2 caused overloads; 1.0.3 fixes the problem. Please update to 1.0.3, and let me know if you still see any issues.

Have you had a chance to look at the manual? You can get to it via the "Open Online Manual" command in the main menu.

I can confirm that V1.0.3 fixed that issue for me :)

The more I use this synth the more I like it...slow burn but it has real depth as well as great sounding filters.
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

do you planb to make the newer plugins compatible to ableton live, regarding the vst3 loading time are making all newer korg synths like modwave and multipoly unusable for Ableton on windows.

Agreed. The sound is great and the features are great. There are currently enough bugs and minor jank that it gives me pause about buying it right away, because I would hesitate before inserting it into projects, knowing there are tradeoffs to using it in its current state.
I know of two user-reported bugs so far:
* Moving knobs with the mouse causes high CPU usage. I reproduced this last night, and we'll be looking into it today.
* The curves drawn in the Envelope graphic seem to always be based on the Custom settings, regardless of the selected Curve Preset.

Ableton is slow with Program Change for VST3 plug-ins, and apparently very slow when used with Push 3, but this is an Ableton issue and happens with plug-ins from other companies as well. For Mac users, we advise using the AU plug-in instead.

A user in this thread reported graphics issues which I'm guessing are related to Windows Display Scaling; Microsoft themselves has warned that this can cause problems in some cases, but since they note that other plug-ins are OK, we'll look into it once we get more details.

If there are any that I've missed, please let me know!
tumface wrote: Sun Mar 09, 2025 3:32 pm But wavestate native still today has a similar problem as multi/poly native with editing knobs in the plugin GUI causing CPU "spikes" (probably thread locks?)
I haven't heard of this before; I tried just now, and couldn't reproduce this. (Last night, I tested the "moving knobs with mouse" issue in all of our Korg R&D plug-ins, and confirmed that it was only a problem in multi/poly). If you're seeing an issue with wavestate native, please provide more specifics and we will look into it.

Some devs like Parawave (Rapid) and Minimal Audio (Current) have already fixed the VST3 loading time, has Korg plans to fix them? Otherwise the synths are unusable for Ableton Windows users.

Ableton told me, that they can't fix it, so it's up to the Plugin developers:
"Dein Anliegen ist nicht untergegangen und es gab seitdem das Verhalten aufgenommen wurde wirklich viel Nachforschung und Diskussion um das Thema.
Leider ist es nicht Trivial zu lösen und es bedarf Arbeit/Änderungen auf Seiten des verwendeten "Juce Frameworks" und von den entsprechenden Plugin Herstellern.
Soweit ich verstanden haben wurden die verantwortlichen Parteien entsprechend informiert."

Ableton told me, that they can't fix it, so it's up to the Plugin developers:
Ableton has to do its jobs and deliver a flawless DAW, the plugin developers cannot be blamed for this. Since Live 11 things are getting worse. I had written a Live 11 bug report in July 2023, I got an email in February 2025, that it is now fixed in Live 12. Wtf Ableton.

But besides that, I can't confirm the loading times bug in Ableton Live on macOS. Everything is fine. If I were a Windows user, I'd probably switch to Bitwig. Although it's not perfect either.
