This thread is mental. All the killa plugs get laid out.
One missing is the Nanotron:
http://www.kvraudio.com/get/1462.html
available via KVR on Christmas!
Put it in the classic or vintage award instrument category if there is one. Any other 2004 vintage plug beat it?
More smooth than inoovative is the crossfade knob between the layers, a knob with tape noise is there, yet so simple.
Can dial in just the sound I needed for a specific track, and I had to pass on the recent group buy on mello sounds.
One of the best threads so far this year, controversy is fine, just help me find the magic VSTs.

Even me!?! That's real nice.opiadream wrote:anyone who takes the time to create vst plug-ins
and then offer them freely for musicians to make use of is a winner in my book.

I look forward to blowing up many more of your monitors in 2005.

All VST's are homo erotic when I use my joystick (with built in vibration) as a midi controller

Probably not a good idea to slag off any developers that give stuff away.
Don't forget, we just lost TBT plugs... Now I know a lot of folk here miss those.

By the way who cares about the opinion of Mr JackDark ?
First I find the title of this thread a little arrogant - then when I was reading your post I was just laughing
(vivaldiMX is very good but 2 years old, skale tracker looks nice but is only half finished, etc ...) then I was just crying
(bashing TobyBear plugs ... how great is that ...) then I was just saying "but WHO cares ? It is another unknown that try to get a life by making irrelevant posts over the internet"

If there was a "Nice company of the year" award it should probably go to Kjaerhus for making the Classic series. I guess there are some more elaborate fx modules around, but the effort is great and so are these plugs!RNJ wrote:Awards should go (too):

You're welcome! A lot of people out there love your stuff. I finally got a copy of Linus and I think it's fantastic (why'd it go poof?), though Triforce and Pudding are still my favorites. I love how no one ever knows what to expect with your developments.tweakbench wrote:Wow! Thanks for that Jack. I'm honored to be a runner up

P.S.
Howabout a contest to win one of those sexy Tweak coffee mugs?

The latest build/version of Vivaldi MX is from February 27th, 2004. I think therefore the the synth still falls under the 2004 category, and is quite viable.Deed wrote:(vivaldiMX is very good but 2 years old, skale tracker looks nice but is only half finished
As for Skale:
"Now, the main work has been finished, and we are proud to invite you to try this program."
Check the feature list, and download the program:
http://www.metamacro.com/awezoom/skale/features.htm
Version V0.80 came out on September 30th 2004 by the way, and fixed all the problems with V0.76w, which seems to be the version you are referring to.
