Has anyone here tried loading sfz and embed it to the presets?
I made my own sfz and managed to load it into Serum, but it doesn't work with the message that it's over 64mb as soon as I try to embed it to the preset. But I've already reduced it to a capacity close to 30mb by encoding it with flac...

Fortunately there exists Icarus3 and Vital etc. which are userfriendly and have even a better soundquality and is no dongle software.
Good for you! :tu:

Can you make one Matrix slot control the "amount" slider of another Matrix slot? I hate when synths have a Mod Matrix but won't let you do this. Most of the time I can find workarounds but it's just super annoying and gives a negative mark for usability.

edit: NM, figured it out. Its the "aux source". Been awhile since I used Serum.

As long as you're not scratching your dongle it's all fine.

I'm surprised how basic the wavetable editor is *except* for the formula field. If it didn't have the formula field I'd even say it's close to useless. You can pretty much just do basic stuff like draw straight lines, and very basic curves. I'd even go as far as to say the LFO editor is more advanced since you can edit individual points.

I agree. Since the dawn of VST plug-ins, a “dongle” has referred to an external piece of hardware, usually a USB key or drive that’s required for authorization of the software.

I remember needing a Pace floppy drive to authorize my old Antares plug-ins, and the original GRM Tools on a trusty Mac G4. It was a pain in the butt, and yet completely necessary.

I don’t ever remember the definition being changed to include a “challenge & response” method. If it’s newbies that are using this definition, they’re using it incorrectly, and it’s causing a bit of confusion on multiple forums.

There’s nothing wrong with making a mistake, as long as one learns from it. Music is a form of art, and yet we heavily rely on technology to create it. It’s important to use terminology as precisely as possible, so that we’re all on the same page and not talking past one another.

I'm using a custom mod curve to do pitch quantization; it kind of works...except the grid can't be set to anything above 16x16. Why this limitation when the LFO grid goes up to 32x32 and the rows and columns can be set independently?

Also, maybe there's a simpler way to accomplish what I'm trying to do? I've gone with the mod remapping curve because it's the one that makes more sense to me.

Well I'm surprised to see this came out. Always fun to get a cool free update. About to load up the resynthesis and see how it compares with alchemy.

You can still do all the same edits as with V1 though. But I guess compared to Zebralette3 it is limited.

It is great upgrade from version 1 and I appreciate all the hard work of Xfer and the team.
The only little thing I am missing from version 1 is that Serum 2 doesn’t apply automatic track naming per its preset on Logic Pro anymore. Well, I can bear that.

The granular and spectral bits are neat, but nothing mind shattering. All in all an great update. I also like how I didn't need to even think about using it relative to v1. It's just more stuff but implemented in the same way in a nice GUI. Great job as always.

That's still better than scratching your dongle at the head part.

[I'm sorry. I couldn't help myself. ]
