As my username suggests, I'm a complete noob. I just want to do some changes to my voice in OBS. I've installed autopitch, charmverb, and mdelay just to test it out. I watched some guy on youtube do it and as soon as he adds the plugin to the mic the effect is activated. ie, when he adds charmverb his voice immediately gets a stadium sound. Mine doesn't change anything. I'm talking and there's no reverb.
Please help, I'm such a noob.

I have never used VST plugins in OBS but in the end of this article there's a short troubleshooting list..... https://techtactician.com/how-to-use-vs ... ort-in-obs
You may have a look at the OBS forum as well... https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/vs ... ng.100131/
Someone there said "instead of adding the filters to my MIC tab on the audio filters, I added it to AUDIO INPUT CAPTURE."
...perhaps there's more info in that thread and/or forum. Might be worth have a look.
Can't be of ny more help than that I'm afraid, perhaps someone around here have more experience and will eventually reply.

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

I run my system wide through cantabile lite (also separate chain for input audio from game consoles), but I imagine you could use it also route it to OBS. The beauty of Cantabile Lite is how modular it is, how easy it is to route/chain things etc (I use it in conjunction with voicemeeter potato).

wow what an extremely helpful reply.
sorry to offend you by using a help forum to ask for help, my bad.
I bet you can't find my specific situation in the manual. how about you RTFM and let me know if you find it.
