Unfortunately Roland no longer allow us to swap out lifetime keys like that anymore, you're stuck with what you have.chroma wrote: Wed Mar 05, 2025 9:59 pm I’m hoping the free sub will let me complete my preset collection and maybe swap out one or two of my permanent licenses…

Gear4Music finally got back to me and said:Examigan wrote: Wed Feb 26, 2025 6:31 pm I forgot I had a VPN still running. When I went to the Gear4Music site it shows they're still selling Sound Canvas. When I turned off the VPN and went back to it, the site said many of the RC plugins weren't available in my country. I'm in the USA.
I thought SC was discontinued?

They usually put them here: rolandcloud.com/newsdumbledog wrote: Mon Mar 17, 2025 7:51 pm I saw a bunch of updates, but don't see anywhere to see patch notes. How do I see what has changed from version to version?

So.... it's been a few years. Any news on an ACB of the JX-8P that we can load onto our System 8 yet?

It's great to see that Roland is finally taking time to fix bug/issues which is what I have wanted to see for some years now.
Great work Roland
Edit:
What is this all about?
Haven't had any Roland plugins installed on my new system because of bugs and issues and decided download and install RCM so i could install my plugins today now that they had great updates and they refuse to authorize and i am met with this:

In the smallest window it says that the Roland cloud manager is not found when you can clearly see it is installed in the picture.
Edit 2 and the solution i found:
On windows you can choose a different folder to install the cloud manager in but don't do it.
I did it and was met with authorization errors and a message that the Roland cloud Manager was not found even if it was installed so i uninstalled it and let it install in the default folder in programfiles and then everything worked great after that

These new updates are still not showing in the Roland Cloud Manager for me (v3.1.13) and the JC-120 plugin still shows as Ultimate Sub Only (not available to buy)
Has anyone been able to download the updates yet?

Technically...yes, the problem is that RCM now is stuck at "Installing" on all of them.
Some things never change
EDIT: aaaaaand now all my RC plugins are gone, I'm reinstalling them one by one.
EDIT2: the XV5080 display does not look like ẹ̶̤̎l̸͋͋͜d̷͎̟͠͝r̴̙̲͛i̴̙̮͛̓t̴̟́c̷̬̋h̸͇͒̅ ̶̗͆t̶̖̂e̶̗̅̆ẍ̶̤̼̆ṭ̵̰͛ anymore.
EDIT3: as far as the JD800 is concerned, "Slow Bell PAD" and "Swimotion" finally do not play random notes at 0 attack time AND, even if it wasn't in the release notes, the display bug has also been fixed.
Overall I'm satisfied; good job with this round of updates!

They installed without issue here. However I had to log out, from the Cloud Manager, then log back in to show the updates. So, if anyone's wondering why they're not showing up in Cloud Manager, you'll need to log out then back in. Though you shouldn't have to do this to make updates show up.
Nice to see some long standing issues finally fixed though..

I see the JC-120 Jazz Chorus is available as of today for $50 for the next month. I've not used Roland Cloud at all yet (because there's still no JX-8P ACB model), but I'm leaning heavily towards picking this one up.
Is there a way to demo it before buying into anything?
