Was never particularly drawn to either Zebra (Full) or Bazille (Full or Lite), but ZebraCM is such a perfect little synthparamita123 wrote: Thu Mar 20, 2025 12:01 pmExactly. I only purchased Hive because I love the free ones so much for both their sound AND the whole UX done so well.
I rave about the U-HE preset browser everywhere UX comes up.
Bazille and ZebraCM are total gemsUrs wrote: Thu Mar 20, 2025 9:53 am The CM stuff is particularly curious. If there is no distribution path for ZebraCM/BazilleCM because there is no CM, we need to figure out what to do with it.
TyrellN6 comes home!

If there is no distribution path for ZebraCM/BazilleCM because there is no CM, we need to figure out what to do with it. It was great as long as they did tutorials with them, but with all of that gone, there's no immediate solution. We have to weigh options and see how we go after Zebra 3 and possibly some more new stuff in the pipeline.
First problem is free of charge.

For CM things, ha dunno. People don't like paying for things that used to be free.

That... is actually a pretty good idea, I think. But we don't know what the stipulations of the contract with CM was as far as branding etc.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Thu Mar 20, 2025 12:23 pmI'm a professional problem solver, please allow me to do my thing: you "update" the plugins by "enhancing" the names from "CM" to "LE", then take over distribution. Use iPluginCompatability to migrate the CM versions to LE versions in supported hosts. Then done!
First problem is free of charge.![]()

Yo guys, no worries. We'll find a solution. Unlike Tyrell N6 I think the CM-synths are still in somewhat ok shape, there's not as much urgency afaik.

Presuming Urs et al were into the idea, all it'd take would be a simple poll to test the waters.
Another idea could be a pay-what-you-want option.

I'm sure you will. My post was so obvious it was intentionally tongue-in-cheek.Urs wrote: Thu Mar 20, 2025 1:27 pm Yo guys, no worries. We'll find a solution. Unlike Tyrell N6 I think the CM-synths are still in somewhat ok shape, there's not as much urgency afaik.

Heh, not the case for me with U-he, I already had Repro and Diva before trying the free ones. But it definitely WAS the case with Valhalla--I grabbed Supermassive and ended up using it constantly. Felt a bit "guilty" about it and decided to pick up Delay (twist my arm, I really needed a nudge to get a delay, sure) and now I use THAT constantly tooparamita123 wrote: Thu Mar 20, 2025 12:01 pmExactly. And like u-he, Valhalla keeps updating their free stuff which is highly appreciated.
(And as an aside, both companies among others have great not-sucky-for-paying-customers copy protection, also highly appreciated.)

I figure, I have two high quality plugins for the price of one, helps that whole plugin-buying rationalization thing!

I hear you !
I guess the lesson anyway is if the plugins are really great, then we will buy
I am yet to buy Diva or Zebra. Probably not gonna buy Valhalla Delay because I love using the free Deelay

Yeah... it comes up from time to time. Mostly the idea to combine all of them into a single drum machine.rasmusklump wrote: Thu Mar 20, 2025 1:31 pm Wasn't the love the machines series from you as well?

I just don't think it'll happen unless we get a lot of other stuff done first.

Maybe charge the price of the magazine for each.

Never heard of this. Have no idea what this is about. Are there U-he drum modules out there somewhere?

i think you still can download them somewhere on the website. e.g:
https://www.soundandrecording.de/heftar ... rumulator/
but i doubt they will run on modern systems. maybe windows.
