Yes, it's appearing that way. :tu: The overall CPU usage seems a bit more stable when in use too.

BTW If anyone’s interested in World Sounds, I noticed they’ve made one of their four “India General” EXZ expansions free for Zenology. Don't know how long ago that happened as I never saw any announcement. Not to be confused with the standard preset packs, the EXZ’s are $10-$20 expansions which contain sampled material (usually around 90MB).

I don't have an update for 5080 in my roland cloud though there are a lot of other updates. (on mac)

I had to do a refresh a few times to see my updates..

Assuming you have the latest Cloud Manager update (v3.1.13), go into the top right settings on the Cloud app and log out from there. When you log back in the updates should show up. Did for me anyway.

Didn't see the Roland Cloud Manager update thanks. But also I signed uot and back and saw that the 5080 now had an update, whereas before it didn't. Man this cloud software is confusing. I click all over the place before seeing my software.

I'm on 1.05 for 5080. Says it's the latest version. No change to cup spikes. Unusable. Is this the updated version?

Post

Yes, 1.0.5 is the latest version, and the AU works great natively on Apple silicon in Logic here. The CPU issues are fixed.

What format/host are you running? Does the XV say 1.0.5 in the about window (to make sure you're running the latest version).

Post

Yep 1.0.5.. my spikes have for sure gone (thus far anyway)

Oh! Roland Cloud said that 1.05 is installed, bu Actually clicking about shows 1.04. maybe it didn't complete or something. Ableton Live 12 on mac with AU. I'm re-downloading, so hopefully that will fix it, thanks!

Edit: Ok installed for real and yep, no more spikes. CPU very low now. So glad to see that fixed!

Too bad the other Legendary synths like SH-2 and 101 haven't gotten the browser updates yet.

PSA: Think twice before updating Zenology Pro if you're having older projects with drums from Zenology Pro. We didn't, and after updating Zenology Pro our project now crashes the DAW when we try to open it. So that's not great, and there's no way to downgrade to the previous version either what I can see. Thankfully I think we can salvage this by importing the other tracks in a new project and redo the drum track from Zenology, but yeah this isn't great Roland :-(

Edit: actually this seems true for not only drum tracks, so if you're in the middle of a project using Zenology I wouldn't update at all.

Is this on Mac or PC?

This project is on a PC running Cubase. After hours of faffing around we managed to downgrade to an earlier version of Zenology from another computer and everything works as it should again, so that's a small victory.
