I bought T-Racks Max 6 two weeks ago, surely there must be a grace period that would include this plug in my purchase?? Or are you telling me that IK seriously thinks it's a good idea to charge for a new plugin that is currently part of T-Racks 6 Max, for customers that bought it 2 weeks ago?? Surely, not even IK can be that shortsighted.

This isn't included in T-RackS 6 MAX. So there would be no grace period, it is a separate plugin.

Your T-Racks 6 web page lists the Lurrsen Eq as part of T-Racks 6 but it's not part of T-Racks 6 Max???
WTF is wrong with you guys?? This is a new low, even for IK.

It is not included in T-RackS 6 MAX. It is a new T-RackS 6 module, that shot is from the T-RackS 6 page (there is no specific T-RackS 5 MAX page). 10 new modules are available for T-RackS 6 (it doesn't say "10 new modules available in/for T-RackS 6 MAX"). And, there will be more coming. They will also likely have the text explaining that they are not included in T-RackS 6 MAX, yet will still be new modules for T-RackS 6.

BTW, in case anyone is wondering, Lurssen Mastering EQ looks to be modeled on the EAR 825Q.

I can understand why IK wouldn't want to give away a plugin they've put resources into developing for free to a bunch of people who bought T-Racks 6 MAX for $30 in a price glitch two weeks ago.

But if the new plugin is not part of T-Racks 6 MAX, then there's nothing to get upset about; you got what you paid for, and this new plugin wasn't a part of it then, and isn't a part of it now. Waiting wouldn't have done anything except result in you paying more for the same thing.

So if it's not included in "T-Racks Max" then what is it included in? One assumes "Max" means all the available plugins. So will all the new modules be separate purchases not included in Max....until they are or the next inevitable promotion rolls around ?

Look, I love the T-Racks plugins and I respect the people who write the code for them as they obviously know what they're doing but as far as the sales and marketing department goes I honestly can not say the same. They seem to lack competence and any kind of oversight from above.

To me this is just another one of a very long line of instances where IK has either baffled or downright pissed off its user base due to marketing skullduggery.

But as the old saying goes...IK be IK'in. You learn to live with it I guess.....

If I add up all that I've spent on T-Racks plugins going all the way back to version one which came on an installation CD I'm sure I've paid far more than they are valued at today and then factor in the dozens and dozens of other products I've purchased from them over the decades I feel no guilt whatsoever. As for "price glitches" if businesses stop making mistakes they'll stop suffering the consequences.

But if the new plugin is not part of T-Racks 6 MAX, then there's nothing to get upset about; you got what you paid for, and this new plugin wasn't a part of it then, and isn't a part of it now. Waiting wouldn't have done anything except result in you paying more for the same thing.

Personally I'm not upset about the plugin. I don't need any more EQ's, what annoys me is IK's marketing department's way of bumbling through seemingly every thing they do to the point that they receive vitriol at almost every turn.

But like I said you just shake your head and learn to live with it.......

There's currently a promo, 99.99 is the price for T-RackS 6 MAX during this promo (both non- and upgrade versions). Folks who have previous versions and/or other IK software can take off another up to 15% off of that with JamPoints.
