We made roughly 100 drum machines back in the days, one each month. Pretty much always the same software, different samples and always new preset patterns. The presets were the actual highlight. Loved that stuff.

Urs cant you release them and make them available for us to use?

doh. Thx

Then I guess my question is why the OP mentioned it :) Can we talk about one synth per thread?

thanks for supporting Linux with a good GUI and good sounds.

Linux needs more Pro Audio Software. At least there are now a few more options. I would probably switch from macOS to Linux if most of the big DAW's, and plugins, were available.

We do not have the rights to the samples, and they also don't just compile. This again would be months of work that would delay other things.

Unfortunately, CM does not exist anymore. We don't know if and what we can do, and our schedule is pretty busy for the next year or two. We need to focus on our main products now, and hopefully get clarity on CM rights and stuff in the future. Also, the CM stuff has afaik been a lot more up-to-date than Tyrell, not entirely sure.
And still want Zebralette 2 to have its own download.
We changed it for Zebralette 3, but we can't simply unbundle Zebralette from Zebra 2/Legacy.

That said, we're happy to maintain freeware or magware. Yet, it needs to have an advertisement effect on our paid stuff. The cost of upkeep has become incredible, just Tyrell's preset tagging alone took our content guys - who are full time employees - several months until it was up to our standards. Yet, we won't compromise quality of our free offerings by using lower standards, simply also because I think our reputation is more so what sells Divas and Hives, and that is what our free stuff needs to demonstrate.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, we pretty much put the same effort into our free stuff as into our paid things, but we need to prioritise paid stuff in order to do so.

The CM stuff is particularly curious. If there is no distribution path for ZebraCM/BazilleCM because there is no CM, we need to figure out what to do with it. It was great as long as they did tutorials with them, but with all of that gone, there's no immediate solution. We have to weigh options and see how we go after Zebra 3 and possibly some more new stuff in the pipeline.
What if you cooperate more with BEAT? I mean there was Beatzille. How about Zebra Beat?

So happy to see this! One thing I've noticed in the current beta version is that it doesn't save the GUI settings (skin and size) after you click on "Make default"

Hi, I tried all three versions in my AVLinux (Mx-debian) distro, linux Reaper daw, and the CLAP, vst3i and vsti all had effectively identical cpu use on a nice extended pad. Great that CLAP is so competetive, while offering it's own specialties. That TyrellN6 gui is one of the best on any plugin! :hyper:

First time trying TyrellN6... This is a really cool little dirty batard! Sounds really great! :D

Long time Diva owner here and loving it. But this one feels like a mini-Diva that I could reach for, for very quick and easy sound making. Great option to have in the toolbox.

Thx u-he!

Urs, as a proud owner of a ton of your plugins, I can tell you that if you designed a drum machine of the vintage persuasion, I would be all over that. Take my money now.

Hehehe, we are aware of the holes in our portfolio. However, Zebra is our main focus for the time being, we won't even think about anything else :)

Maybe make your drum machine code available to the Surge team who are also working to improve the Short Circuit sampler. Pretty good move from a PR perspective, and it might get the peanut gallery off your back for a month or two.
Cheers

My favorite skin. Updated for this version of Tyrell too, with a better browser IMO, and it's free:

Apart from effort and stuff... rights... don't have the rights, can't grant them...
